Trump will sent 1,000 or 2,000 troops from Germany to Poland

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he is considering a move of up to 2,000 troops from Germany to Poland, a country that had proposed building a “Fort Trump” in hopes of luring the United States to base a larger American military force there.

“It’ll be no additional troops in Europe. We will be moving them from another location in Europe,” said Trump, who singled Germany out as the likely location for a withdrawal.

Trump was in Washington, speaking alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda, who has long sought more U.S. troops in his country as protection against potential Russian aggression.

“It is going to be an enduring [U.S. military] presence that will hopefully increase gradually,” Duda said.

Trump said nothing has been finalized but added Poland would build some type of new military facility to accommodate U.S. troops.

“Poland is going to build a phenomenal facility in a beautiful location,” Trump said at the White House. “The facility itself will be world class.”

An hour after making his comments inside the White House, Trump, speaking in the Rose Garden, adjusted the troop number, creating confusion when he said it could be 1,000 troops bound for Poland. Trump added Poland will pay the associated costs to develop basing.

Last year, Duda said Poland was willing to spend up to $2 billion for a U.S. base and suggested calling it “Fort Trump.”

Coinciding with the troop announcement, Trump said Poland has ordered up to 35 “brand new” F-35 fighters from the United States. In honor of the agreement, an F-35 flew over the White House during Duda’s visit.

“I congratulate you on that (purchase),” Trump told Duda. “It means you have good taste.”

    Oh my godness!!!!

Duda crawls realy deep into the butt of Trump ... they will call the base "Fort Trump"! I get a laugh attack! :roflol::roflol::roflol:

But what I didn't find is the clear in TV shown statement of Trump that this shift is combined wuith a critic and hint against Germany due to not fullfill the 2% demand and because North Stream 2.

Also ... very interesting: it is pointed out that Poland will take 2 billion of the costs for thebase ... but many Americans here are not able to understand that Germany does this since 60 years with all bases who existed and still exist and also sharing much of the maintaining costs too!

Also ... my doubts about the US media and official digits is reasoned again! Allegedly, over 50,000 US soldiers are in Germany ... what is a lie because it's just over 35,000 (official numbers of US forces in Europe ... proven with the target strength of the units stationed in Germany).

The German reaction to the bullshit of Trump is now only a yawn!

Remarks so far go by "who cares?" "why only so few and not just all US soldiers?"

And I would like to remind you once again that Germany and all other NATO members are contractually obliged to fulfill this 2% only from 2024 and not now = 2019!
A reality and fact that Trump and his fans keep ignoring.
And North Stream 2 does not give a damn about Trump ... he's supposed to put on his MAGA hat and take care of the US, not things that do not concern him!

No idea if anyone ever said that in the US ... it was not our topic here in Europe.
Here it is proven for everyone that Trump had these evil connections in the election campaign ... of course indirectly!

Only here, everyone says that Putin made a big mistake back then, when he had feared more to Hillary than Trump ... where he started helping Trump. Putin is making ****, too, and I'm sure he's angry on himself in Moscow for helping the wrong US candidate!

But as I said, do not know how the Americans see it and I do not care ... is their thing.

Sharia law, huh? Are you only again on of these trolls who believe the bullcrap about the refugees topic etc. which was told in the US as horror tale?

A well-intentioned advice for the future:
Before you even believe such a racist bullshit, make you better comprehensively smart on the subject.
    Make you more believable ...

But ... what about you? What do you say to Trump's allegation that Germany must immediately put 2% of GDP into defense ... even though the valid Treaty of Wales says clearly, not before 2024? Really great this idiot with you in the White House, eh?

I would think you'd be jumping for joy that Trump is moving US troops out of Germany, but Trump haters have to find something negative into everything he does.

The question is ... is there ever anything positive to see ... I mean backed by all facts and issues to the depending topic? Sorry ... I see nothing!

Personally I give a crap on how many US troops are in Germany or not. I know that what is hiere placed is only a joke and has mostly nothing to do with any task for NATO. So all of Trump's threat simply vanishes with me and most Germans into a "who cares?"

To hear anything positive about things Trump has done you have to try listening to conservative news, OAN perhaps. You must care or you wouldn't insult and criticize him so much.

Good idea. Don't spend a single Euro on your own defense, just assume Uncle Sam will save you.

    Bold strategy, Cotton.

do too ... but all too often, only half the truth suffers, as well as just bullcrap.

For example, when it came to defending "2% of GDP" in the defense, the view in the conservative media and even those who are directly "Pro Trump" was very sobering!

Not one of these Meien reported the truth and mentioned the NATO agreement of Wales 2014 which clearly says that this obligation will not exist until 2024!

And again bullcrap as answer ... We spend 50 billion USD in defence this year and from 2014 to now this is 30% more spending in money ... but tell me why shall we invest right now 2% when the duty is only from 2024 on?

And do you really believe that anyone trust here still Uncle Sam after Trump declared NATO as obsolete and questioned the duty to help the us in Europe?

BTW ... Trump claims that it would cost the US taxpayer a lot of money. Maybe you are in a position to give me examples?

Why bother spending any money on defense, when you're rolling out the red carpet and inviting in the invaders?

When exactly was Sharia Law introduced in Germany?

Germany is about to spend around 43 billion Euros in 2019. Clearly you are able to see a difference between "a single Euro" and 43 billion.
Save from what? I assume Russia (?).

Not if you're just trolling, but why not try this concept called "reality" instead of posting nonsense.

    Edit: spelling

No ... rather not! The Treaty of Wales is truth and fact and clear in the subject!
Germany fully lives up to its obligations, which were decided upon.
Since 2014, we have increased the budget by 30% ... from approximately $ 35 billion to nearly $ 50 billion in 2019.

But just on the sidelines ... you know that this 2% rule is bullcrap ... purely arithmetically?
We expect tax revenues to decline in 2019 ... nothing dramatic ... but if that's true, then the $ 50 billion budget is suddenly 1.8% and not just 1.4%. Nice, isn't it?

Where and with what are we doing? With North Stream 2? ROFL.....

You know that Putin is much moire trustful as Trump ever could be as partner? And why shall we buy much more expensive American LPG? To get insulting from Trump again? And if we say to him "shut up again", he will threat us to stop gas delivery? Sorry ... no thanks!

Maybe his "Red MAGA hat" causes a heat build-up on the head, which affects the performance of the brain?

43 million Euros? That's about what a single fighter jet costs.

The US spends more that on socks for its soldiers.

What the US spends is their business.
I already corrected the comment. It's 43 billion, and it'd be easy to research that on your own.

Btw, there's no Sharia Law in Germany, so that you know for future debates maybe.

He misswrote ... the actual spending is 43 billion EUR what is about 50 billion USD. This puts us on rank 8 of worldwide military budgets.

You'd think you could keep the invaders out of your country with that kind of money spent defending your borders.

    Guess not.

Migration and defence spending are two separate topics. The military budget of a country is not focused on "defending its borders" alone and it seems you're not really familiar with how western countries use their military in the 21st century. However, I'm sure you're aware of the many missions and operations NATO countries are involved in around the world.
    https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/topics_52060.htm

But since you think migration belongs to a defence/military debate, I assume you're familiar with the recent data and numbers regarding migration to Germany for 2018 and 2019. But maybe you're not, who knows.
