Today Trump once again tweets about his growing hate for China.

But, it was TRUMP who removed our scientists from Wuhan, abandoning the efforts of the '"Predict" system Obama had established.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/25/health/predict-usaid-viruses.html

It was Trump who killed our federal level team that was focused on US preparedness for pandemic.

And, it is Trump's America that is doing phenomenally worse at fighting this pandemic.

What I want to know is what is this hate about? He keeps praising Xi, then expressing hate for China!!

How is this hate affecting what he is doing wrt COVID?

How come he isn't promoting his plan for opening our economy that is on whitehouse.gov or leading toward what is evidently making Europe so much more successful, or working on supplying more tests, or any of the other directions that could help America reduce this disaster?

Why do we have a president of the USA who appears to have simply given up?

I don't believe it is an accident that we're doing so stupendously worse that Europe.

And, I think we do need to know what we did wrong and what we need to fix.

Look no farther than the American culture. We are a highly mobile group that love to travel and resist any curtailing of freedoms. I love that about us but in this instance it has its price.

I do not accept that as a rational justification for the stupendous difference we see betweed the US and Europe.

There are far more issues than what you mention that offer serious opportunity for improvement.

Let's remember that today our federal leadership is doing nothing. And, that is a pretty major missed opportunity.

What exactly do you want Trump to do? Ban travel? Jail kids gone wild? Shoot on sight orders for protestors ignoring social distancing?

I want him to show some leadership.

He needs to promote as seriously important that people show personal responsibility in social distancing, mask wearing and travel. Even PENCE is making a move in that direction.

He needs to make sure that the plan on whitehouse.gov is working - which means that it's requirements are available (adequate testing, support for contact tracing, etc). We have nowhere NEAR the tests available for that plan, and states can not cover for that on their own. And, that plan has not been promoted.

He needs to take the handcuffs off CDC and OSHA and start moves to protect those who are working. Meat packing was given a list of cost effective solutions by OSHA and CDC, and Trump told the meat packers that they could ignore ALL of them for free! They showed up as hotspots and that has to be ENDED.

There is NOTHING suprising about those few steps. They are all well known and Trump has worked AGAINST evey one of them.

It's time to start listening to science. No more LIES.

Well lets take one of your assertions and discuss it.

"Meat packing was given a list of cost effective solutions by OSHA and CDC, and Trump told the meat packers that they could ignore ALL of them for free! "

Have a link expounding on this or is it something Rachel told you?

Wow have YOU ever been out of touch!

Trump went so far as to write an executive order that clears meat packing plants of ALL responsibility for any action or inaction they take on employee safety related to COVID.

    This issue is easily found.

After OSHA/CDC inspections of meat packing plants they created a list of low cost changes in favor of employee health and safety. This was a standard federal action except in THIS case the list was declared to be entirely optional. Never before had such recommendations been considered discretionary.

One result was that thought they were discretionary, meat packers could be held responsible for knowing the solution to a serious employee threat and taking no action - even when the action was not expensive or unknown.

To fix that, Trump wrote an executive order stating that meat packers could not be held responsible in any way for the health of their employees in this manner.

The result is that meat packing plants remain as deadly hot spots.

Do your own work. I clearly identified the issue.

You made yet another one of your long rambling anti Trump allegations that you can’t back up. Do your homework before posting what Rachel tells you and you can avoid looking so foolish.
