But she isn't going anywhere. We've just seen that the GOP can nominate a candidate that their establishment opposes, but we've not seen that from the Democrats. I think the Democratic establishment still has control of the party and they don't want anything to do with her.

 

Her father is a political figure in his own right and her opposition to LGBTQ rights is similar to his. Mike Gabbard is half Samoan and a member of a Hindu sect opposing gay rights. Democrats endorse people of color automatically as their candidates but some of them are ideologically quite conservative, contrary to the party's platform.

At the end of the day the word "Socialist" is a nonsense demonization label these days. Bernie is not for state ownership of most resources and means of production so he is not either a national or an international socialist.
