The deep state is already making plans to destroy Tulsi. Her heresy on the issue of foreign policy and Syria in particular has marked her out as an independent politician who won't be controlled. If she gains any traction, they will marshal the combined power of their corrupted media empire to destroy her. Probably the FBI is already surveilling her and spying on her. And the NSA is going through its vast collection of data looking for anything to hurt her with.

Agreed. Tulsi would be a GOP nightmare. They have almost no way to attack her.

What are they going to do - attack her for calling out Obama for arming terrorist rebel groups in Syria ?
Will they bitch because she said that the same sex marriage activists were extremist ?

Sure they will try to claim that she lacks experience in Gov't but, compared to Trump she is an experienced veteran.

She is pretty, well spoken and very far right for a Dem.

"I want to apologize for statements that I have made in the past that have been very divisive and even disrespectful to those within the LGBT community," Gabbard said. "I know that those comments have been hurtful and I sincerely offer my apology to you and hope that you will accept it."
Since joining Congress in 2013, Gabbard has supported efforts to promote LGBT equality, including co-sponsoring pro-LGBT legislation like The Equality Act, a bill to amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to protect LGBT individuals.
"I grew up in a very kind of conservative household. A multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-faith home," Gabbard said in New Hampshire in December, speaking to her shift. "Diverse in our makeup and diverse in our views. And I held views growing up that I no longer hold."

Sure did not help Megyn Kelly to apologize.

Frankly she sounded like a far better candidate prior to her caving in .

Anti-gay, anti-abortion, no record of accomplishment, so Tulsi is going nowhere, not with so many other strong Democratic candidates. She probably shouldn't have done this, as it invites a closer look at her record, which isn't good. She's not anti-Syria war, she's pro-I-want-Assad-to-win-in-Syria.

Russian trolls and their "deep state" nutter lackeys will back her big time, of course, and push stories about how the Dems are so unfair to her. Anything to push the "Dems in disarray" and "Dems are corrupt" big lie. It's not like RepubliRussians can run on issues, so they have to lie and ratfuk like that.

Oh, I see she does the anti-GMO kookery, which makes her a conspiracy nutter who wants to make all food more expensive. I have little patience with any anti-GMO nutters of any political stripe.

Look for her to drop out about October when the networks refuse to let her in any debates. What she's doing is anticipating the 2022 House of Representative primary when she might face the other Hawaii Congressman for what will be the only Hawaii House seat. This spark of hope of a political future could keep her in the House through until Mazie Hirono dies or retires so she can run for Senate, then be automatically viable in 2032 or 36.

Jeebus, are there people that still actually believe this? This was outdated in the 1930's and really never true even then

Look, unless you're a CEO at Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill or another handful of agribusinesses you MIGHT be supplying the food needs of a few hundred people, tops. America feeds the world, no doubt, but we do it from truly huge acreages that have fields stretching over the horizon in the Midwest.

Everything else are piddle ass hobby farms for retirees and your major crops are government subsidies extracted from the salaries of hard working city dwellers who haven't time to go hunting. We're supporting YOU grampa

"During her run for state legislature in 2002, Gabbard told the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, "Working with my father, Mike Gabbard, and others to pass a constitutional amendment to protect traditional marriage, I learned that real leaders are willing to make personal sacrifices for the common good. I will bring that attitude of public service to the legislature." The quote, which CNN's KFile found during a review of Gabbard's early career, shows how closely she aligned herself with her father's mission at the time."

No she's realised that real leaders lie about their previous beliefs just to garner votes. She's learning, I'll give her that. She fits right in with the DNC.

EC can only pull a boner if the election is close. If the difference is over 5% the variances wash out and the Popular takes it. Next election will not be close because EVERYBODY but an increasingly smaller minority HATES Trump and NONE of Trump's opposition will be staying home this time.

The Framers didn't even intend that there would BE political parties, let alone design the Constitution to make one win. Washington himself specifically warned against political parties.

The EC was designed to prevent runoffs. The Founding Fathers thought elections with several major candidates would be the norm

Slavery? To what? Yourself? Or were you referring to those, like yourself who transfer their personal rights and responsibilities for the assurity that others will provide for you? Cause that sounds, exactly, like slavery.....

She is smart and nice looking. Apparently that is what we need in our next president.

I had no idea you are a Walnut harvester. Oh wait, perhaps an Almond farmer. Or perhaps an Avocado farmer. Gee, why didn't you tell me.

I did not like the TV Trump show. I sure did not like Trump at all to begin with. But any president who can make Democrats bawl daily is going to be my hero.

Trump is doing so well unless he caves into the Democrats I will round up Mexicans and Chinese to vote for him.

Well it took Democrats to almost destroy traditional marriage and allow the specialities to be married.

I may have forgot but has this country made use of a representative and created a president?

What is in Trump's favor in 2020 is that the democratic party is simmering in division, the same division we saw in the primaries of 2016, that has grown. A divided DP serves trump.

I think the DP will be in disorder for some time to come. Their greater numbers, fractured, helps Trump and the GOP in general.

The New Demo Party will eviscerate her. Their Elites will make sure she can't compete money wise.

What Democrats managed to win, where they had a chance to lose .... is small time places in politics. Trump again will take the big prize.

If Democrats gained a Governor, the race could not be compared to the big time job of President.

Sander's competed, and had the money to do it, mostly from small donations. I contributed. So Tulsi might be able to get his supporters to back her. She was one of the democrats that did not run away from sanders as people like Warren did, if my old memory is correct.

I think both parties will be in disarray for a long time and the American people will suffer for it. Right now the only people in the GOP willing to take a stand against Trump are leaving by 2020 but the situational chaos in the WH just keeps growing and growing. At what point does the GOP establishment say enough?

    testing.......
