Twitter: Way More Accounts Than We Thought Spread Russian Propaganda

Twitter underestimated the number of accounts spreading Russian propaganda by more than ten thousand, the company quietly disclosed late Friday.

A company spokesperson wrote on the Twitter blog that 50,258 automated accounts “identified as Russian-linked” had tweeted “election-related content during the election period.”

I must have missed the Russian twitter propaganda the same way you missed the other thread on this topic.

 

And they're actively pushing the bogus Nunes memo as we speak

Show us that it is not bogus: that is on the Alt Right to prove.

Okay first of the memo was not written by Nunes or the altright. The Reps almost universally want it published the Dems almost universally wish it didn't exist and don't want it to see the the sunlight let alone allow the American people to read it. Based on these facts alone it seems as though there is something very damning in that thing that will likely blow up the whole fraudulent Trump investigation if it comes out. In fact my wife thinks the Dems willingness to shut down the government and keep the CR debate going, may well be little more than an attempt to delay that exposure.

 

Publish it. Or someone will leak it.

 

I'm probably being obtuse here but ... if this memo was written by a Republican, what's the problem?

It represents a viewpoint. Of course Republicans/conservatives will be inclined to support its conclusions, Democrats/liberals to refute them.

If there is classified information in it -- sources that must not be revealed -- perhaps those parts could be redacted.

But there must be more to it than this. Can anyone explain?

I think there may be something about being a conservative Repub that makes you folks more receptive to wildass conspiracy theories. The government shutdown was months in the making due to a number of factors not in the control of Dems. If, for example, Drumpf had agreed to the framework of the compromise deal he was presented with, one he said he would sign, the shutdown would not have happened.

ROFL, there is a groundswell demand for transparency ala "release the memo" and "Russian bots" is going to be the response from the Complex? Weakest of all possible, didn't even think they could be so dumb. Better hope what's in that memo is a nothing burger, lefties, because if it isn't, the "Russian bot" nonsense is going to enrage lots of centrist Americans.

Any support of Nunes is based on opinion nothing factual.

 

Of course the GOP plays dirty games. But they'll play clean when the truth is on their side. It may very well be in this case.
