I'm not the only person that has posted in this thread. You didn't include anybody else except Betamax in Post #118.
    Yes.

    Just did

But basically on more than one occasion I have called out that correlation does not necessarily equal causation - a prime tenet of the scientific method

And certainly linking to conspiracy theory websites is NOT what scientists do - even when reading published peer reviewed research they will subject it to critical analysis first

    Let's hear it.

The serious scientists are the ones that the mainstream calls conspiracy theorists.

The peers who do peer review will not go beyond the bounds of the mainstream version of things if it's a serious issue.

Have you heard Mike Lindell speak about Trump being reinstated?

Have you ever read anything on end of the world prophecies?

I don't pay attention to that issue. I don't like either Trump or Biden. I'm in tune with people like Ralph Nader.

I think both Trump and Biden are controlled by a group of elites – probably the Bilderberg group*.

I hear people talking about it but I've never taken it seriously enough to want to look into it.

I don't like Trump and I'm currently disappointed with Biden, but that's irrelevant.

Mike Lindell has been saying that he can prove there was widespread election fraud and Trump is still the rightful president. According to him, Trump was supposed to be reinstated this past Friday. It started around January with them saying Biden wouldn't be inaugurated and the date just keeps moving forward.

People have been predicting the "end of the world" since the beginning of time and, as in the case above, the date just keeps moving forward.

Which brings us to your posts about this or that person has said X about the vaccine. You stated it was said that vaccinated people would die in three years. Do you kind of see how that's unknowable at this point in time? It's too vague. What I'm trying to get you to see is that anybody can say anything about any topic and some of those people can sound educated and convincing. Nevertheless, there is no way to VERIFY what they are saying at this moment in time.

For example, there is a difference between:

The mRna vaccines are poisonous because they contain A, B & D and these react on <whatever body> by doing <whatever>. Our studies have shown this <whatever> significantly decreases the human lifespan by approximately <whatever amount of time>

    VS.

The vaccine is poison. Don't take you it you fools!!!! You'll be dead by the year 2024!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run for your life.

    Do you notice the difference?

A doctor trained and licensed with the AMA (American Medical Association) doesn't work in absolutes. They can't. All their decisions are based on years of research and actuarial tables. These are used to give them the *odds* of all known conditions, their prognosis and treatment plans. This is why doctors pay for malpractice insurance. Mistakes are going to happen sometimes. Doctors aren't gods.

So, my concern with the type of links you've posted is that they all have one common theme: Fear factor

    • What is the value in telling someone they are stupid for getting vaccinated? How does that help?
    • What is the point in shouting from the rooftops they will be dead in three years? How does that help?

Vaccinated people can't take it out of their bodies so they just get to panic for the next three years? How does that help?

Unvaccinated or vaccine hesitant people don't care what they say about it anyway. So, how does that help?

    -------------------------------

I was trying to tell you this the other day but you dismissed it. It's important for us to not only educate ourselves about various issues in order to make sound decisions but we have to be careful that we are not ignoring important information in the process.

To my way of thinking, COVID has hit the whole world. We know this. We know that some doctors and scientists are NOT okay with the vaccines. My question is "Why haven't all those doctors (however many) not made any effort to file a court action with their own medical associations and WHO (World Health Organization)?

It's the same issue with Trump. Why has he been grumbling for close to a year now but NEVER once submitted ANY proof of election fraud?

Sure, you might be right and these skeptics are telling the truth. However, neither one of us knows if that's true until that point in time arrives and it's reckless to play on people's emotions. People are losing their lives and/or loved ones. Many have lost their businesses and jobs. Many are terrified of sending their kids back to school. People are already scared. Why ADD to that?

Beyond that, generally speaking, yelling and clobbering people over the head is NOT a good way to persuade them to consider whatever it is you want them to do. Look at what is happening in Afghanistan as we speak. Fighting does NOT help.

Define "serious" and explain how you know this. You have no relevant qualifications to assess who is credible. The mainstream don't label anyone in that arena as such, they label people like you who suck it up and spew it out all over the place without checking any of it.

Says who? A conspiracy website, alternate websites? It is opinion driven and bears no relation to how peer review works. Nobody within the scientific community will say that peer review is perfect, but it is as good as you can get to have others attempt to break your arguments. NOBODY on the crank side of the fence submits their work for such critique and people like you ignore ALL critique from the people who tear it apart. That is seriously pathetic.

You're playing dumb about the info in post #129 but the viewers are looking at the info.

Here's something else for the viewers.

Spam comment. I like the idea where you suggest I am playing "dumb" when you are a known expert at this. This post you refer to is your stock spam, posted numerous times and answered just as many!

Serious in that he has a motive for lying? He is not a qualified doctor in the fields he is spouting garbage about. He offers zero evidence for his bare assertion.

STOP posting fake news! You are a damn menace!

Seriously ill COVID-19 patients double in vaccine pace-setter Singapore | Reuters
On Sunday, a commentary in The Straits Times, Singapore's main newspaper, said an estimated 500,000 people that were eligible but have chosen not to get vaccinated were threatening the healthcare system.

In Singapore, the percentage of unvaccinated who became severely ill or died was 5.2% as of Sunday. For the fully vaccinated that percentage was 1%.

Reuters is part of the mainstream*. The mainstream has a record of giving an upside-down version of reality when there's a big issue. You have a naive willingness to believe when you read mainstream info and an a priori incredulity when you read alternative info. We can't be one hundred percent sure of anything unless we go to Singapore and visit the hospitals and see for ourselves. Simply believing the mainstream version is not the scientific method**.

Go and look at the damn source for YOUR article!

It has been cherry picked and deceptively distorted.

The craziness of posting one unverified link after another and completely ignoring well written posts like this one quoted. Hey MJ, if you are lucky he'll take a small paragraph and find another stupid link to throw at you.

Says who? What have you done to verify this batshit?

Explain why you completely ignored that very well written post just above. You are so very gullible and completely clueless.

Of course they can. Vaccinated people can carry this thing every bit as much as unvaccinated. And while the hope is they may carry the virus for less time, I havnt seen any data to corroborate that.
