I agree with many of the points you made, OP, but I do not agree that this is a "Christian" country. We are secular. There are MANY people who are Americans who do not follow your religious views.

Actually it's pretty obvious there was something else involved. ;-)

No, not really. Your argument structure and writing style is awful.

    Yeah, really.

Coming from a guy with such crappy reading comprehension, the rebuke is a long way from stinging.

You wouldn't like me then, because I'm a proud American who speaks out against Trump. It is tossing feces in the mouths of Lincoln, FDR and Kennedy to call him Presidenr, and it blows me away we keep doing it.

Change is inevitable. America will sooner or later, be fundementally changed. We are not always going to be a white, Christian-majority nation and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you will begin to open your eyes on immigration.

Hmmm....you must live in some alternative reality, America is and will always be a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC not some crackpot socialist experiment. Secular? Only in some PC wet dream.

I think you need to study some US history. Social programs like the military, social services like police, fire fighters, etc., social security, highways, schools, have been a part of our fabric for a long time. Without immigration the US wouldn't be half the country it is today. Immigrants have been and continue to be a huge part of our economy. Doing work American's won't do, starting businesses, growing the pop., etc. The US is unequivocally not a "Christian country". The majority of the residents might be christian, but our laws don't allow the government to pick one religion over another and they don't allow for special rights for members of one religion over another.

That really depends on what standard you apply to the term. Clearly the majority identify themselves with the religion on surveys and polls, but its more out of habit, then reflective of anything more. If you ask follow-up questions, like how often do you pray, or attend church, or read the bible, or ask them any knowledge based questions about their chosen 'faith' , most are completely ignorant beyond what they can remember from Sunday School classes 15 years ago, they can't quote more than three verses of this Bible and never listen to any Christian message outside of church longer than the 30 seconds it takes to change the channel. its more of a cultural marker and identity grab, than a religious affiliation in any sense.

Actually that's a half truth. Obviously the feds can't do that, but state governments may do so under the Constitution.

And yes, I am aware of 14A.
