?

Does Trumps massive spending make him an even bigger Socialist than Obama ?

  1. Yes - Society is on the hook for all this spending and wealth redistribution is socialism

  2. No - Military and other programs that I like are funded by Santa Clause and not Taxes.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...t-widens-11-8-in-first-quarter-of-fiscal-year

At this pace the annual deficit will top 1.4 Trillion.

Trump is spending money like a Princess with a Credit Card. Red spent 8 years criticizing Obama's budget deficits. Trump is even worse but we don't hear a peep out of Red - sans a few Libertarians like Rand Paul.

What happened to the "Fiscal Conservatives" ? Looks like Trump is an even bigger Socialist than Obama !

Leave it to Trump to run up Trillion Dollar Deficits (while enriching his Crime Family on the backs of hard-working Americans).:smh:

    Congress makes the budget.

This obscene rate of spending is not "making America Great" - unless one thinks massive debt is a good thing.

The other factor that most fail to consider is the impact of all this credit card spending on the economy. The increase in Gov't spending boosts the economy in the short term - like putting nitro into the fuel tank.

This is short term gains for long term losses. It is what losing looks like - not winning.

The President has veto - and has considerable sway over the budget process via his party (Red Congress). Further - much of the spending increases have to do with Trump programs.

Nobody has cared about "the deficit" since Comrade Obama floated down from Heaven to lead us toward the 'nirvana' of Socialism. Why would anybody care about it now...?

Truth? Trump hasn't changed anything regarding "the deficit", and he sure as hell isn't going to now! And, on top of that, he's doing everything he can to make certain that the country -- and all of our citizens -- plunge even deeper into debt, too, by constantly raising hell that we need to cut interest rates down to ZERO, or below (if possible).

The message -- get in debt all the way up to your fugging earlobes and BUY TONS OF SH!T, whether you need it or not!

I get that but - the fact remains that much of the increase is due to spending on things that Trump has been pushing.

Many have cared about the deficit - be it Obama, Trump or Reagan for that matter. What happened to the "fiscal conservatives" who were screeching so loudly during the Obama years - often blaming him for stuff that was not his fault - such as the 2009 Deficit of 1.4 Trillion handed to him by previous administration ?

I do not think we can get to rates as low as Europe. Supply and Demand is what determines these rates and as the rates decrease I am not sure demand for the massive amount of debt we need to float every year can be sustained.

We are lucky that the EU is at zero - as this helps maintain demand for our debt.

presidents sign them. Can't become law until he does, absent a veto proof majority. Trump owns every budget passed since he's been in office, and the deficits that go with them.

No kidding - all these self proclaimed "fiscal conservatives" have gone into hiding because it is "Their Guy" who is spending like a princess with a credit card - and not "the other guy".

So you would support him if he massively cut the budget, correct? I mean, you would totally agree with budget cuts? Just wondering how concerned with the budget that you really are.

    1. I don't mind spending like this when it actually benefits the country. A stronger military is part of Trump's America First policies.

    2. Look up the definition of a socialist so you don't make the wrong comparisons.

At least with Mr. Trump we see economic improvement, unlike Mr. Obatards stagnation and continued increase in poverty among minorities!

That's the key difference in a the doomsday Democrats and the opportunist minded Conservative.. One begs for economic decline and fears a opportunic economy and the loss of Government dependence and the changes independent lives bring to people!! ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

At what point do you feel our military is strong enough? 10x the rate of the next country?
    20x?

I would definitely support not increasing the deficit. You don't necessarily have to cut it - although that is preferable. What is ridiculous is the massive deficit increases done under Trump.

You mean like how the right forgot this when Obama was in power ?

What you seem to be forgetting is that the Dem's don't claim to be fiscal conservatives - Red does.

He isn't President anymore, and he got his eight trillion and nothing but stagnation for it! Get back to me when Mr. Trumps spending results in that :rock_slayer:
