?

Does Trumps massive spending make him an even bigger Socialist than Obama ?

  1. Yes - Society is on the hook for all this spending and wealth redistribution is socialism

  2. No - Military and other programs that I like are funded by Santa Clause and not Taxes.

Increase to military spending and not addressing the systemic issues related to healthcare spending would be the main ones.
Not supporting Planned Parenthood would be a smaller one.

Trump has proposed a 4.4 trillion dollar spending cut. The Democrats are already raising hell about it. So does he approve the spending that Congress, who holds the purse strings, gave him or does he shut down the government and fight the spending bill that was approved by a vote in The House and the Senate? If he shutd down the govt then Pelosi and Chuck You Schumer scream about it. If he signs it then Democrats scream that he signed the bill that the Democrats voted for. SO what do YOU want? Tax cuts and fiscal responsibility or a fight that shuts down the govt?

Trump to request 6 percent domestic cuts in $4.8 trillion budget

"President Trump on Monday will request a 6 percent cut to nondefense spending as part of his $4.8 trillion budget proposal for 2021, breaking from a bipartisan spending agreement inked in August.

The request includes $740.5 billion in defense spending but just $590 billion for domestic spending, which includes everything from health and education to transportation and foreign policy.

The proposal has already riled Democrats, who along with Republicans and the White House had agreed to overall spending figures for both 2020 and 2021 in a deal last summer."

So what if Obama is not President. The fact remains that when Obama was president - the right was parading around pretending to be fiscal conservative - and criticizing Obama.

Now that the President is Red -- not a peep.

Trump's spending far surpasses that of Obama. Any idiot can increase economic activity on the back of increasing deficits.

Obama did not have this luxury - Obama reduced the deficit from 1.4 Trillion down to roughly 500 Billion over 8 years.

Why is the largest most bloated military on earth exempt from these cuts? Screw Americans so we can murder more people overseas...

The bigger the better, even if it's 100x. I just hope that the next time we have to go to war, we go in to win and come home, not to stay there for decades with a garbage "don't fire until fired upon" strategy.

Your 4.4 Trillion in cuts is a 10 year figure - and we know these are nonsense.

Regardless - what folks say - and what they do are 2 different things. It does not good to cut in one area if you increase spending far more than the cut in other areas. At the end of the day Trump is not cutting the deficit - but is massively increasing the deficit.

You don't get it.. Mr. Trump has my admiration because his money spent is actually showing improvement.. Mr. Obatard only lined the pockets of the same dirty bank bastards that tanked the U.S.! You really need to weigh the differences and put a limit on your Kool-Aid intake..

You avoided every question that I asked in my post. Do you think Trump should shut down the govt and fight the whole Congress and fight with Chuck You Schumer and Pelosi to get spending cuts?

Bingo. The new democrat idea is to drive the deficit up for socialist policies which helps nobody but the poor who depend on the government. Democrats have only ever kept their foot on the necks of the poor. The more poor they can control for votes, the better off they are. And it all starts with poor education and freebz.

That's a ever changing scenario, nations advance their technologies strengthen their military presence. Plus we are spread out, LIKE it or NOT! There are many facet to consider, you might try looking deeper in to subjects instead of running off half cocked all the time :nod::thumbsdown::rock_slayer:

    We shouldn’t be “spread out”.
Protect our boarders and be able to respond if an ally needs us in a reasonable amount of time — we should not be providing their military for them.

    Thank you.

I support increased military spending because I appreciate the protection. I think they deserve the millions while sports and movie stars deserve no more than a hundred thousand a year. Anyways, that's another story.

What systematic issues for healthcare spending? Do you mean healthcare for all?

Planned Parenthood is supported by everyone in rich elite crowd. If they want funding, they have all they need. The government already supports free clinics all across America. I don't see the need to support Planned Parenthood.

Would you care to elaborate on how "military" should or must be excluded from any definition of "socialist?"

Do you truly believe that the economy under Trump first three years has significantly outperformed Obama's last three years?

There are two components to any deficit: Spending and Revenue.

Your question assumes that the only source for reducing the deficit is to cut spending.

Well I go by what I see around me, and the left go by what they are told to see! That's said, I think YES, the last three years have amazingly improved overall here and even the west coast, although they don't deserve it ;) ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

I bet you don’t get an answer to that with actual data — even though deficit spending was much lower...

edit; yup, just what I thought — just “I feel like it is, so it is” @ButterBalls

Where are the Fiscal Conservatives? They're DINOSAURS... like ME!

If I had my way, we'd run a totally balanced-fugging-budget... Oh, yeah... we all see how popular something like THAT is....

And, you see how tough it is to be a genuine 'dinosaur' when the whole world is being taken over by half-witted, idiot 'mammals'.... :dog:

The deficit will eventually catch up to the USA economy and take a bite out of all of us. Trump and Congress need to step up and address this. These good economic times will not last forever. This reminds me too much of the Bush Jr admin time, when his supporters were blindly praising him, and it hit the USA hard when it all came crashing down.

You are the one ingesting koolaid - I am no fan of Obama - you on the other hand are stricken with partisan Trump Blindness.

You are 100% correct that Obama lined the pockets of the "Dirty bank bastards" - do we think Hillary gets 250K a pop for 15 min speech at a wall street banker function for her good looks and charming personality ? - of course not. We have a pay to play system - if you play along with the Establishment - you get paid - and everyone knows it. This was a form of payback for a job well done.

Trump is lining the exact same pockets - the only difference being that Trump has increased the amount of pocket padding.

In terms of improving the economy - take the massive credit card spending spree Trump embarked on out of the equation and things are not so rosy as your rose colored glasses would suggest.
