This incident has created quite a controversy in the legal community as well as it should. The trial verdict had just been read and the U.S. Marshalls for no apparant reason tackled Bundy's lawyer to the ground and even though he was on the ground they still tasered him. Outrageous!

'When U.S. Marshals physically subdued attorney Marcus Mumford at the finale of the Oregon militants’ trial, the encounter created a buzz across the legal community with experts saying they’d never seen anything similar happen before.'

hhahahah You wish.....should i post a expose of your favorite liberal rag? Like the NYT, abc, cbs, nbc and cnn aka the clinton news network. The National Enquirer has journalists of a higher caibre than the lame mainstream media....the fact is...you do not have a problem with Alex Jones or any other conservative media outlet...what you have a problem with is the truth...no matter who tells it.

But just for the record you will find this same story on many outlets....are they all lying? or is it just you?

Do you anything against the newspapers in oregon also?...they have also presented the story......http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/10/us_marshals_use_of_force_again.html

But time and again we see you come on this board and demonstrate your propensity to denigrate conservative news sources? What does that say about your credibility?

U.S. District Judge Anna J. Brown told him that there was a U.S. Marshal's hold on him from a pending federal indictment in Nevada.

"No, he's released on these charges. He's acquitted. Nevada doesn't have jurisdiction,'' Mumford yelled, standing before the judge. "If there's a detainer, show me.''

"Mr. Mumford, you really need to never yell at me now or never again,'' the judge responded.

Brown told Mumford that she's releasing Bundy on all federal holds in the Oregon case, but he'll have to take up any questions about the federal holds from the Nevada case with the U.S. Marshals Service.

"If they want him, they know where to find him,'' Mumford told the judge. "I don't see any paper proving their authority to hold him.''

Suddenly, a group of about six to seven U.S. Marshals, who had been either standing or seated around the perimeter of the courtroom, slowly moved in and surrounded Mumford at his defense table. The judge directed them to move back but moments later, the marshals grabbed onto him.

"What are you doing?'' Mumford yelled, as he struggled and was taken down to the floor.

Infowars has a fertile field because of failing education.

    - - - Updated - - -

The problem is the lack of education in some segments of society ... like the Bundys themselves.....

The Bundys are a risk to the public because they are so damned ignorant.. If the Feds hadn't shown restraint Malheur could have been a bloodbath.

Now they have to stand trial in Nevada.. and they can take the risk that these imbeciles will create another stand off in Nevada or elsewhere.

By the transcript the US Marshals outright defied the Federal judge ordering the Marshals to to step back. Acting in 100% violation and defiance of the order of the Federal judge, 8 US Marshals threw the defense's lawyer to the ground and then tasered him. The judge did nothing over the Marshals totally violating the judge's order.

The judge had not held the attorney in contempt of court, not ordered the lawyer be arrested, and had ordered the Marshals to step back from the defense's lawyer.

If those 8 Marshals act that way in front of a federal judge - and outright violating the judge's orders to do so, it is easy to figure how they treat people when not in court ordered by a Federal judge to take no action. I would conclude any of the 8 would outright murder anyone they wanted to for whatever reason or no reason at all. I would not be surprised to hear those found not guilty, but kept in prison anyone, reportedly committed suicide or were locked in restraining chairs in isolate.

At least in that courtroom, the Federal judge is not the judge at all. The Marshals are. Because the judge took no action against the Marshals defying his order literally for the purpose of assaulting the defendants attorney, he should be impeached. The Marshals should be charged with aggravated assault, civil rights violation and official oppression.

The transcript speaks for itself. Those trying to divert this to their ranting against Alex Jones seemingly are Clinton minions agreeing that they must never listen to the truth, only to propaganda.

Exactly....time and again we see the liberal and clueless elements come on here and attempt to distort and or deny the truth when it is as plain as day.....the incident with Bundys lawyer being abused, tasered etc. by the U.S. Marshalls has been presented by many outlets...are they all lying, is the video faked, is up down, is black white...the liberals would love to take you down into the rabbit hole where a alternate reality exists...one in where there is no truth.

What a bizarre and outrageous position. If I think violence is going out, I should grab someone - you if you are closest to me -,= throw that person to the ground and taser them to show those other people who I feel might become violent I mean business.

For example, if there is a riot, a dozen police should rush a reporter there, taser that reporter and pile on him - so those rioting understand the danger they face.

In your logic, the Marshals screwed up because they should have grabbed the judge, thrown him to the ground and tasered him. That would really have impressed everyone with how dangerous and violent the Marshals are, wouldn't it?

    You are quite confused.

The procedure used against that occupation was seriously low key and not confrontational. Occupiers were even allowed to leave to use the mail, get food, etc.

And, what we're getting out of that is encouragement for more such activity.

Let's remember that this is not Bundy's property. He didn't even have grazing rights. And, there are state and federal employees for whom that is their workplace.

I suspect they perceived a threat. Hats off to the Jury for the Nullification though. I think the dust up was over the Judge's refusal to release the Bundy's given that they still are facing trial in Nevada. Somewhere in the argument, the Marshals must have perceived a threat and taken the attorney to the ground, which is what they are supposed to do. If they couldn't get him to comply with instructions to cooperate on the ground, well, that will get you tased, which certainly beats getting shot.

I wish the Judge would have released them, they aren't going anywhere, and I have my fingers crossed for another Jury nullification in the Great State of Nevada!

Jury Nullification of unjust government actions is a powerful tool and I would like to see Juries make much greater use of it.

That happened in court where the lawyer (not a defendant) instigated a confrontation with the judge.

If you do that it is not going to end well in ANY court on ANY issue.

The lawyer refused to follow the judges orders and escalated from there.

That is going to happen in every court of law all across the US. It has nothing to do with the issue being litigated.

That's the law, not a "rabbit hole".

Nonsense inspired by liberal fantasy....now for some twuth:

Ammon Bundy's lawyer tackled, Tasered by U.S. Marshals in a surreal ending to the Oregon standoff trial

'Marcus Mumford, Ammon Bundy's attorney, describes being tased in courtroom

    OREGON STANDOFF TRIAL

Moments after the Oregon standoff defendants' acquittals were announced in court Thursday, Ammon Bundy's lawyer Marcus Mumford stood before the judge, and argued that his client should be released from custody immediately and allowed to walk out of the courtroom a free man.

Ammon Bundy, who chose to wear blue jails scrubs throughout the trial, was dressed in a gray suit Thursday.

As deputy marshals yelled, "Stop resisting,'' the judge demanded, "Everybody out of the courtroom now!''

Mumford was taken into custody by the Federal Protective Services.

He was cited for failure to comply with a federal lawful order and disturbance and released with a Jan. 6 date to return to federal court, said Eric Wahlstrom, supervising deputy of the U.S. Marshals Service.

According to Wahlstrom, Mumford was shocked with a stun gun in what's called a dry-stun mode, meaning no probes were fired into his body but a Taser was placed up against his body.

Wahlstrom, who was not in the courtroom, said the actions were taken because Mumford was resisting and preventing marshals from taking Ammon Bundy out of the courtroom and back into custody.

Wahlstrom said the stun gun was used because deputy U.S. marshals "attempted to handcuff him and he continued to resist.''

But observers who were close to the arrest decried the use of force against a lawyer in court.

"What happened at the end is symbolic of the improper use of force by the federal government,'' Mumford's co-counsel J. Morgan Philpot said. Philpot explained that Mumford was attempting to point out that since the judge previously had said in court that she had no authority over detention orders made by the court in Nevada, she couldn't now maintain the right to order his client held.

"I grew up on a dairy farm, so am I used to some rough treatment, sure?'' Mumford told reporters, after his release. But he said the actions of the U.S. marshals were uncalled for.

"All I was asking for was papers. Just show me you have the authority to take Mr. Bundy into custody,'' Mumford said.

Defense lawyer Per C. Olson, who represented co-defendant David Fry, called the physical confrontation "a complete overreaction. Utterly disgusting.''

Olson said Mumford was getting animated, but he did nothing physical. He didn't charge the bench, or block marshals from his client. "He raised his arm as if to say, what the hell...And they grabbed him, Tased him and took him down. It was just shocking. It was completely inappropriate,''Olson said.

Defense lawyer Matthew Schindler, standby counsel for defendant Kenneth Medenbach, said he was disappointed by Mumford's challenge to his client's return to custody, considering he faces more serious federal charges in Nevada.

Schindler said Mumford was exhausted, having "put out everything he had,'' during the past six weeks of the case.

"Unfortunately he let his passion and desire and belief in his client overcome his good judgement,'' Schindler said.

Margaret "Margie" Paris, a University of Oregon law professor and former dean, said she couldn't believe what occurred when she learned of the confrontation.

"It just blows my mind,'' Paris said. "To have a lawyer who's making an argument in court physically restrained and taken down is extraordinary. He's entitled to make these arguments. If he was repeating himself over and over, the more typical response is to hold him in contempt. But to physically accost him is just shocking.''

Oregonian Staff Writer Jeff Manning contributed to this story.

Lack of education is why half the country would be willing to vote for a candidate under a federal investigation.

Maybe what you should consider is that in a court of law, the judge is to be treated with respect.

If there is a decision with which you disagree, there are methods of appealing.

Yelling at the judge is NOT one of them.

    PERIOD.

I wonder if an actual copy of the detainer was legally necessary to hold them, but the marshals didn't have one with them?

You seem not able to understand or follow the links to comprehend what you're reading and who the source is.

It's not an Infowars story but "The Orgonian" newspaper story. A real newspaper that has a printing press, news racks, real reporters and it's own news website.

Other news outlets reported on the same incident. Does it HAVE to be reported by MSNBC before leftists will believe it? You do know that MSNBC is leftist propaganda entertainment and not real news . . . right?

"Perceived a threat?" What, that the defense lawyer was going to jump over the bench and attack the judge? Or attack the 8 US Marshals? The judge literally told the Marshals to back away from the attorney. They completely defied that order and assaulted the lawyer in front of the Federal judge. Do you not grasp how extreme that is? Seriously, you don't see the extreme nature of what occurred? Lawyers argue with judges all the time. On rare occasion, the judge hold them in contempt if the lawyer is too loud and the lawyer is fined gets a night in jail. NEVER do over half a dozen US Marshals - on their own - come over, assault and taser the lawyer. 8 Marshals had the old lawyer on the ground, defying the judge, and then just for fun tasered him. Tasers sometimes do kill - particularly older people like that lawyer.

By holding them in jail, they are being treated and punished as though guilty. But that is common in the USA. It is not innocent until proven guilty. It is treated as guilty unless at some time months or a couple years later a jury decides you never should have been in jail at all and let's you go. In terms of jail and prisons, everyone is, in fact, presumed and treated as guilty, not innocent.
