No one has made the claim the virus would disappear, but the quarantine was meant to slow the spread, not completely stop it. We never intended to stay at home till it was completely gone as that may take a year. Perhaps you missed that memo?

We have seen it before what are you talking about? We even saw it recently when we had a glut of jobs and people were still sitting on the sidelines even though we were seeing an uptick in the LFPR. Trump tried to roll back the "emergency" liberalization of the work requirements for welfare, which he did by EO and not properly through Congress, and the left attacked him over it. Gingrich/Kasich did in the late 1990's and Bush/Republicans did it early 2000's and it worked and people went back to work and the LFPR was MUCH better.
