The US government subsidized big oil to the tune of over $20 billion a year. Stop with the ignorance play, this is nothing new and has been around for YEARS.

So EV’s are a failure if they cant match the 120 years of modeling and growth of the IC engine ? FFS.

In 1920 the average car could travel no faster than 25 MPH.

So by your standard, when the IC engine was invented, we should have just stayed with the horse and buggy ?

What “abrogation” ? They are dong their job and supporting technologies that will be our future.

Just because you don't like those technologies, doesn't mean they aren't doing their job.

    BTW, Congress IS the bureaucrats

How would I know the name of every shareholder of every company in existence?

Do you have a point you're trying to make?

Yes, the right only pays people minimum wage. Nobody ever earns more than minimum wage.

So, "everyone" who owns stock in the company is an owner.
    Are UAW workers stockholders?
Then you votes at stockholders meetings?
And yes there is something on my agenda.
But first it is imperative that we understand the workings of stocks and how the dividends are handed out and paid.

Yes, owning stock makes one a part owner of a corporation.

Workers can certainly buy shares, so they could be partial owners, yeah.

Okay, so what do you want to make clear about dividends?

Who owns the biggest shares of preferred shares and who owns the most of common shares?
How does capital gains affect the purchase?
So we all know how the trading from outside to inside works and how is benefiting the most.
Are those who make the stocks valuable afforded an equitable fair share of the profits or does it only go to the entitled?

    How would I know this?
Capital gains are gains from selling, not the purchase.
I don't know what that means at all, so you might need to educate me there.
Dividends go to the shareholders, whoever they may be. As mentioned earlier, a worker might also own stock, so that worker would get their dividend like all other stockholders.

    No dodging

And the left will always push illegal immigration versus a decent wage for the working class. You never answered my question how you could support a 20% corporate tax surcharge on offshoring labor to force them to hire American workers while at the same time supporting this HUGE Influx of illegal workers who would take those jobs?

nope, the right wants cheap labor, the left wants people to earn a decent living wage

I support a 20% corporate tax surcharge on offshoring labor to force them to hire American workers - do you?

I also know there are jobs Americans will not do, and those are the jobs illegals fill in the USA, and Republicans know that too

How does the right control the price of labor? Prices are determined on the market.

I have no idea. But nobody can set the price of labor. That's determined on the market.

Oh like the government gets it right more than the private sector?

    Yep

So it is a necessity but Biden and the Dems are not mandating that by a certain date half the new cars sold be electric and the mix continues to grow in the future. They are doing NOTHING as far as quotas on EV is that your claim?

Supporting or dictating? Why should the government be doing that at all, why do you think they have the capability of better making all those market decisions on our behalf rather than we do so ourselves?

"Suggesting"!!!!!!!!! That's it it's all just suggestions? Are you kidding? Is trying to close down our oil and gas industry a suggestion? Is spending taxpayer dollars to subsidize them and the charging stations while mandating that the manufacturers move to all EV's by a certain future date mere suggestion?

You have a point in there somewhere? Did you support Bush doing that? Were you a Bush supporter? I didn't support him doing that with them but at least those were just bridge loans which they paid back. It was when even that didn't work that Obama stepped in to play boy industrialist buying a HUGE chunk of the company and dictating to the board and even having the union placed on the board. And even after all that they still went bankrupt costing the US taxpayers billions. And about CEO pay so what? Their fiscal responsibility to the owners is about 300,000 times what an average workers is.

Never knew he said can you give me a link to it in it's entirety? I have faced several disasters and never went running to the government. But why do you equate the government helping in a disaster to government paying your day to day living expenses for you?
