100% a NATO/EU coup. The foreign policies of the USA/NATO/EU have been to continually overthrow sovereign nations either through invasions or coups/rebellions. Libya + Iraq are easy examples during the same time frame. Syria was going to be another but, luckily we had an inexperienced and ignorant President take power in 2016.

So you believe that the majority of people in Ukraine actually want a pro-Russian government?

Well if it's a comedy I'd throw in a bit where Putin goes "So the imperialist want to elect some out of touch incompetent fool I'll show them out of touch and incompetent!"

I think they'd rather stay neutral than be conquered. There was no benefit to joining NATO if it entailed this response. Welcome to hindsight is 20/20.

You say that as if that was their choice.

They weren't neutral before 2014. They had a puppet of Moscow running the country.

You saying 2014 was a western coup just means that you have bought in to the Russian propaganda. Clearly it wasn't a coup, or they would just let Russia come in now and take over, because they don't truly support their current government.

Your base assumption is just Russian propaganda. Every opinion you have that stems from that assumption is incorrect.

The country is almost gone as it is and will not become a Russian puppet. All in the matter of a few weeks. If Ukraine were as energized to defend itself you'd see a lot more resistance.

Those who think Biden is 'tough', it's the contrary. This happened because Putin sensed weakness. This administration ran on a campaign of playing nice with Iran, being soft on illegals, being soft on criminals and labelled white supremacists the main threat facing US, second only to climate change.

You have to stop and think how Putin and Xi Jingping view this, as weak and pathetic as it can appear to be.

But all these sanctions are from a position of WEAKNESS. Since WEAKNESS allowed Putin to invade, now US wants to play tough but trying to get tough from a position of weakness is even more dangerous. Now that Putin is deep into this, he cannot back down. The sanctions are just going to push him over the edge. Does anyone think that Vladimir Putin, with 6,000 nuclear warheads and second strongest military in the world will just allow the US, EU to destroy his economy and force him to retreat? Putin will resort to a scorched earth tactic if this continues.

Peace through strength means you deter.... Beware of attempting to crush Russia's economy and it's people after ALLOWING Putin to invade. Now, instead of deterring Putin with strength, U.S. is trying to crush Russian people and all whilst Putin crushes Ukraine people. This is the result of utter weakness at the helm of the world's superpower.

Think Cuban Missile Crisis. When president Kennedy detected Cuba was setting up missiles in Cuba, aimed at US, he immediately ordered a naval blockage of Cuba (a forceful, military act) and very forcibly demanded USSR remove the missiles, he threatened the USSR with a nuclear retaliatory response. In the face of such threats and strength, Kkrushchev backed down. What would've Biden done? He would've allowed the missiles to be assembled and then, what, sanctions? Too little, too late. Now it's from a position of weakness..
