    Ukraine is a nation now. Although its borders are in dispute.

    For me, I am firm believer in presentism. Although history can be studied to help understand the present, trying to revert things to the past is silly imo.

    I may not like it, but Crimea is firmly controlled by Putin. If I were Ukraine, I would slice off the east and Crimea unless they were willing to fight for it. Reinforce the boundaries one has control over.

    I'm not a fan of the Roman Imperial Church, but I don't see what they have to do with anything.
