Finally Voice of America admitted that an American pilot died together with the Ukrainian one when it crashed. I say finally, because when the war first began a military transport plane was shot down, and according to a Greek site, about 15 of the dead were Americans. The paper said that when they tried to hand the bodies to the US, they wouldn't accept them for fear the American people would find out.

The deceased was named as Lt. Col. Seth Nering, nicknamed “Jethro,” reports Voice of America.

It is reported that Seth Nering was a pilot from the 194th combat squadron of the California Air National Guard. Earlier, the press service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the American citizenship of the second dead pilot, but then this record was erased.

The United States Air Force later vaguely reported that a citizen of the United States was a participant in the “incident”, but did not specify whether he was a pilot. Later it became known that the Ukrainian pilot Colonel Ivan Petrenko was in the cockpit of the crashed Su-27 military fighter.

Has the US finally accepted the roughly 15 dead Americans that crashed in the military transport plane?

I'm trying to figure out where this was concealed. I mean it was in the news the next day. Like here:

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...rashes-during-exercise-military-idUSKCN1MQ27B

And generally there is a delay in identifying pilots and such to notify families and the like. So instead of some deep conspiracy you have normal practices.

I have no idea, but I assume the bodies were eventually transferred to the US. Maybe from another area. The intent was not to let the public know that there were Americans involved in Ukraine. There was another mention of Americans in a German comedy. They joked that they were in Ukraine to direct traffic.

The pilot in the picture looks like a really nice and kind person. May he rest in peace.

This is what was stated, and maybe where Reuters picked it up.

Earlier, the press service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the American citizenship of the second dead pilot, but then this record was erased.
Right now 700 hundred have been taken captive by ISIS in the American controlled area of Syria and among them are Europeans and Americans. I don't think it's being mentioned in the MSM, otherwise why would the Russians try to bring it to the world attention?

Also who are they? Are they civilians or military? Either way, they're not going to fare well. I know a Russian soldier blew himself up with a
grenade when he realized he couldn't escape, and as for the Kurds, they are given pills to take.

The Reuters article says there were 8 countries participating in the military exercises called Clear Sky 2018.

I know who is concealing facts, "Jeannette"
It's Putin, the guy who came to Australia not long after this buk-missile tragedy and
claimed he was supporting a full and open investigation.
But the crime scene was cleaned up and there's been nothing open at all - not
even to interrogate the Russian servicemen who manned that missile truck.

    Are you:
    A Russian?
    A Russian troll?
A useful idiot for Russian propaganda?
A person who wants to get to the truth, but selects the facts and dismisses
    the context?

It's always "The Russians did it!" or "You are a Russian bot!". Putin may be evil but that does not make every single person with an opinion you don't like as a Russian Troll. Sorry but to label people as such is wrong.

Talking to a 97 year old man yesterday. Australian in the merchant navy,
sent to Murmansk with supplies to help the Russians. Remember, Russia
co-started WWII with Germany. I have read that these sailors, who braved
the weather and the Germans, were badly treated by the Russians. So I
asked him direct about it. He said that if he moved off the actual wharf
where goods were being unloaded, he could "disappear."
Some on the Left blame the West for the suspicion and paranoia that
began the Cold War. But as I could see, this was in Russia even when
    it was being helped.

ps I was labelled a "troll" on another thread for copy and pasting Western
articles about murdered or missing journalists in Russia.

I won't defend Russia. Putin has made his bed and he can lay in it but not every single person living in Russia is evil and not every single person who does not disagree with Russia is a Russian bot. I am just tired of the left calling many Trump supporters Russian bots. It's stupid.

Russia in my opinion was never a great country. Joseph Stalin's own daughter fled to America because she liked it much better here. That speaks volumes about the kind of country that Russia is because of the man in power. Putin. Stalin was not any better.

Putin does not represent every single person living in Russia. I am sure there is many good people in the country who do not support Putin. Since you live there would you say I am right or wrong?

    neither.

you must understand the authorities in Russia are never as inescapable as that in the West.

that is, we Russians often go separate ways with our Rulers.

so its never like you bump into Putin or Stalin when go out here.

I take, by way of example, the whole narrative of the Russian Communists, to be a total lie.
And that lie has come back to Russia under Putin. It's hard to argue with Russians INSIDE
RUSSIA because there's such censorship. It's not as bad as China, but it's on the way - next
I expect the Internet will be throttled.
In the West you can get left and right views, lies and truth. But in Russia you don't get that
    option.

Sure, lots of people lie. But a STATE LIE? That belong to the Soviet Imperialists. It also
belongs to the Chinese Imperialists who swallow whole the lie that China owns Tibet and
the South China Sea, all the way to Indonesia.
But you are more likely to get caught telling a lie in the West because, besides the checks
and balances of power, there's media, and intellectual scrutiny, and freedom of speech etc..

Sorry to ask ... but what is your problem here again?
Is the depending militar exercise not allowed to do for the US and Ukrainian or what is your problem?
At many military exercises soldiers died due to accident or stupidity of their own or someone else.

Col. Jethro died doing what he enjoyed, flying. And how many American military pilots get a chance to fly a Russia fighter jet. thank you for your kind words regarding the American pilot.

My bet is that they transferred the bodies on the same secret flight that took the 130 'NATO personnel' you claimed were captured in Aleppo. You remember them, don't you Jeanette?

Well at least now we know what happened to them. :D

Accusing others of what one is doing, is the easiest way to know who is a troll and who is not. I know Congress has allocated large sums of money towards these things, which makes your comments self discriminating.

    Ignorance is bliss isn't it?
