Biden had already sent troops and supplies into Northeastern Syria to erect US bases in the Kurdish regions, and fortified defensive positions along the frontlines at the Euphrates River opposite Syrian Troops. This has been occurring since his second week in office – prior to the rocket attack. All Biden has done is hit the supply line feeding the Syrian army that's trying to take back the oil-producing provinces, as well as the Iraqi-Militia fighting ISIS. In late December, Russia sent troops to the country to help Syria take back the NE portion from the Kurds, as they anticipated the US would make a play for those provinces along with Turkey.

Biden's actions have nothing to do with Iran or Israel, and it's silly to entertain such a concept given his policies are pretty consistent with foreign policy during the Obama Administration. Democrats will claim Biden was being tough on Iran for ordering the strike so people excuse his leniency with Iran during negotiations, but no real damage was done.

 

DAMNED STRAIGHT! You have to draw a line somewhere.
