The Americans are lame ducks! I have a link here, which hints at Afghan's president being a US puppet. No wonder he lets Trump have the trillion $$$ worth of minerals! They are in cahoots with each other. Puppet Ashraf Ghani was not elected by the Afghan majority but “selected” by the U.S. He is the war profiteers’ and occupiers’ puppet president, but not the president for the Afghan majority. When Ghani was in the United States the Kerry propaganda Daesh (ISIS) project was in full swing. All that Ghani could talk about in the media was that Daesh is supposedly in Afghanistan. Afghan villagers have reported seeing U.S. helicopters dropping these alleged Daesh fighters on the ground in the villages. It has been reported in the Afghan media that it is a CIA operation (a false flag operation). And here comes the hammer: The U.S. government needs to create the appearance of terrorism in Afghanistan to justify to the American public the permanent U.S. military bases in Afghanistan and the presence of its troops on the ground long term. Why does the United States want so desperately to stay in Afghanistan? Besides its strategic location in the heart of Central Asia, it really is about the U.S. and NATO having direct access and control over Afghanistan’s vast untapped Rare Earth Elements (REEs), which are worth trillions . Read more here: https://www.veteranstoday.com/2015/03/23/puppet-ashraf-ghani-was-not-elected/ --------- So, NO lame ducks! It all has a purpose - long-term purpose!!! Pretending to fight the terrorists while looting the country!
True! But shouldn't that barbaric behavior stop now, since we preach so much understanding and love and Jesus Christ and Human and Animal Rights and Hitler condemnation?
Mint Press as a source is a new one for me. Only going as far as googling "Mint Press" -> https://www.google.com/search?q=min...i57j69i60l2.7190j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Credibility...??? On the internet anyone can be a journalist. Seems that Mint Press had to make more than a few retractions or other news websites did it for them. But I have no problems of exploiting the natural resources of a backwards country like Afghanistan. Afghans still have one foot stuck in the stone age. One has to ask, what were the real reasons why the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan back 1979 ? Back in the day the Soviets wanted to build a pipeline to transport natural gas and oil from the USSR through Afghanistan to reach a warm water port in either Iran or Pakistan. To do so there would need to be a commie government in power in Afghanistan. Controlling the opium (heroine) trade in Afghanistan is also very profitable. The Taliban knows that and also the CIA knows all about that. $$$
I should hope not! You sure got enough land from the Indigenous People. Did you pay them for it? Someone pointed out to me Trudeau's speech recently at the UN... http://www.msn.com/en-ca/video/watc...lk’-on-human-rights/vi-AAsk5OR?refvid=AAsk5OR He has the courage to talk about Canada's Native people and how the government needs to "walk the talk"! It is a little flickering light of conscious recognition what we owe these people. That seems to be totally lacking in your country, sadly. You are a great Nation with many different races all under one roof. Apparently, you have some 50 million people with German background in your country. That is sheer amazing! BUT... why are you so aggressive and cruel to other countries? Why rip off poor Afghanistan now, after you have bombed it to Smithereens? They had nothing to do with 9/11.
Mint Press is new to me, too. Alright, Mr. Apache, if you have no problem exploiting a poor country with materially less developed people, then you are a conscienceless grabber!
It won't happen soon because the infrastructure is missing. Let me tell you a story about Rosia Montana, Romania, one of the richest area in gold and other ores in all of Europe. The rich mineral resources of the area have been exploited since Roman times or before, and it is a UNESCO Heritage site. The state-run gold mine closed in late 2006 in advance of Romania's accession to the EU. (That was a deal, if you can imagine) Chevron has taken it's place and plans to produce 225 tonnes of gold and 819 tonnes of silver over 17 years and it would involve digging up a large area, involving the creation of four mining pits covering 205ha over historical sites and up to 250 million tonnes of cyanide-laced tailings will be stored in a 363ha pond. The company began buying up houses in the city, but about 100 residents refused to sell and, supported by environmentalists, architects, archeologists and lawyers, they have been battling the corporation and the state in courts. Nonetheless, the bought government announced that it will send through parliament a new law that would allow the bypass of environmental and heritage regulations that prevented the project from being started. It is estimated that Rosia Montana provided 2, 473 tons of gold in a period of 86 years, before the state mine was closed.
Not this old chestnut again. The fabled Afghan mineral wealth. I heard King Solomon's mine is there too.
It may be wise to question this article more closely before taking the publication seriously. Looking at other articles they seem to be coming from the same direction as the one you posted. It seems more like a propaganda site than a legitimate news source, Where did your Christian angle come from?
Iraq was 'All About Oil', Latin America 'All About Bananas', North Korea 'All About Coal" and now Afghanistan 'All About Jewels'. People like to feel they have the inside scoop - the real reason confrontations are happening - rather than the obvious.
"In God we trust!" Of course, my sources are not legit mainstream news outlets... for anything a bit more truthful one has to go search in the "underground"!
Why are you comparing Afghanistan with Roșia Montană? Some people believe foreign investments are really a ruse to take over the economy and enslave the local population. Is this your position?
It's not certain yet that the only God is a Christian God. Perhaps the 'underground' has the answer, though it may also lead you in a false direction.
From the treaty of Tripoli signed by john Adams in 1796 "The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."
Or course. There is no news here, move along. Nothing new. Yes, Rare Earths have been known there for quite sometime. Why do you think it is about our longest war deployment? Idealism?
Thank God we'll get something out of Afghanistan. The left accused us of getting into Iraq just for the oil and we didn't get a drop.
You realize that’s how wars work, right? Since like... forever... And what does Christianity have to do with it?
