Utah teacher no longer employed after TikTok about 'queer' students receives backlash

which brings me to another fact that this happened after class and clearly was not endorsed by parents or the school.

This woman should be charged with sexual abuse to minors. She didn’t just turn in her resignation because she thought she was in the right.

Where on Earth do you live, Joe? I've been to school from Kindergarten through graduate school and I knew about one of my teacher's sex life and that was ONLY because she ran off with one of my classmate's father in the middle of the school year.

About 25 years ago, I had the news on while I was cooking dinner and heard the full name of a Catholic priest from my elementary school in connection with some reports of sexual abuse of some boys at my elementary school. However, AT THAT ACTUAL TIME IN HISTORY, I was not ever bothered and knew NOTHING about that stuff.

Granted, I've never attended a public school but are teachers just putting their sex lives on blast where you are?

 

Further, you are aware that non-heterosexual people work in every field and industry in the world. I have been inside hundreds of companies and have never had a conversation about sex (of any kind) with anybody at work. Sure, some people have made advances but just to sit around and chat about your sex life. Who does that at work except hookers and phone sex operators?

 

Apparently this one did put her sex life on blast. I’m from Utah. And I wish we had Florida’s laws here to prevent this kind of thing.

I’m not an advocate of church in schools either. I have expressed that in multiple posts but I’m okay with it in private schools. As for your teacher running off with another that’s not an issue for kids in school.

Joe, that's my point. Kids don't know what is going on in their teacher's personal lives. You haven't answered the question I've asked two times previously.

Would you have a problem with a heterosexual teacher discussing their personal sex life with their students outside of actual classroom time that was not part of Board of Education lessons on biology and sex?

What is your position if this exact SAME situation happened but the teacher was heterosexual?

There's at least someone out there who says the answer to that is yes. You asked the question, don't get upset that it's already been answered and not in the manner of your choosing.

This kind of thing happens all the time in deep red States such as Utah.

As a matter of fact, some really weird things happen in Utah.

 

Gays and especially transvestites are damaged. Whether it be a genetic predisposition or mental illness stemming from childhood trauma or neglect. It is a serious psychological defect. I wouldn't want them behind closed doors with children just like I wouldn't want a manic depressive, pedophile, rapist, or kleptomaniac.

 

Many say the same about those who believe in a religion. The truth is, nobody is damaged. Everyone is on this planet playing the role they agreed to before they incarnated, so that they and those around them learn the lessons their soul was meant to learn in this lifetime. In one life we are the trans person, in the next we may be the bigot. And in the next some other role. The only way a person can be damaged is if god is damaged, which isn't possible, as god is all that exists and any notion of damage would be an illusion.

I'd heartily agree, but I wouldn't limit to "OUTSIDE curriculum hours" either. As a general rule, teachers shouldn't be talking to kids about sexuality, even during the school day. There may be some very narrow exceptions for teaching health class curriculum with parental approval or if there's suspected sexual abuse, but that's about the only ones I can think of.

 

It's happening all across the country, with alarming frequency. This isn't some unique phenomena limited only to Utah, or red states. Frankly, it started in blue states and has spread from there, like a cancer, to the rest of the country.

 

You'd think with the current social and political climate, these teachers wouldn't broadcast it on social media. But then again, we are talking about the TikTok generation here...

 

No one here is arguing evangelicals should be allowed to exploit children by their religious perversions. What are you talking about?

 

Then why would you worry about being fired? If the kids love you, other teachers respect you and you don’t do or say anything inappropriate, what’s there to fear? You’re the MOST protected class in this country. You have to really **** up to get fired.
