V. P. candidates to serve along with Oprah?

I think Oprah has already agreed to some of this, as would I given a decent opposing candidate. However if we were to compare her qualifications to trump, this is what we would get.


Neither are establishment but trump does have massive connections to organized crime and he has been on the legal side of money laundering for new york crime and it would seem Russian crime also.

Trump has bought and paid for dems and republican politicians in his land dealings in New York and casinos in New Jersey where Oprah has not.

Trump has been bankrupt many times despite coming from money and is so bad at making money the only people who will invest and loan him money anymore are Russian and foreign banks because he is a terrible credit risk to us banks. Oprah started with very little and has created a billion dollar empire which has multiple successful business fronts and seems to have a golden touch in business.

Trump is a known idiot and ignorant fool who derides elitist knowledge and book learning for instinct and stupid. Oprah has taken each new field she has gone to and mastered it by educating herself and understanding things she has not before.

Trump has shown he is a failure at dealing with new situations and has failed many times when trying to do new things. Oprah seems to do really well when confronted with new situations and environments and has many victories and accomplishments.

Trump is offensive, sexist, homophobic, racist, and a bully in almost every way imaginable. The only thing that has somewhat shielded him from the consequences of his offensive nature is his money and he has spent large amounts of manpower and resources defending his offensive actions and remarks. Oprah is diplomatic, charismatic, respectful, and people love her. She has turned many people over to love her from being her opponent and would be a great representative of the US that would enhance our reputation and power because she is adept at that sort of thing.

Trump has shown he selects complete incompetent morons and crooks for his people where Oprah has surrounded herself with intelligent powerful people that have helped her organization to expand to be a global entertainment monster from a simple tv talk show. Trump could not even hire people to get his apprentice show to the top or continue it in his absence.

Yes, neither were politicians, and both were entertainers who would be outsiders to the position of president. Oprah is far better than trump is now and is actually a decent choice for a person who does not have a political background as an adaptable, intelligentsia, charismatic leader who can deal with a world of different problems and who is worldly.

I am 99% sure that he would lose in 2020 whereas Oprah with a good V.P. candidate would pose a genuine political threat...................
so he certainly has that advantage....... because I actually am hoping to see President Trump re-elected..........
unless his opponent really, really, really, really.... impresses me!

Oprah is not going to run for POTUS. And I don't blame her..

 

I personally believe that Oprah would be making a serious error if she
declared her intentions to run for the office of POTUS any sooner than about
a year and a half before the November 2020 election....... so June of 2019 would
be somewhere around the best timing.

For the moment......
what she would probably do is put out a serious statement through somebody close to her.......
to see what the reaction is.......
plus she also has to see who she will be up against.

So what exactly qualifies someone to be president?

Its not like there is a job that is anything like the president.

The only real qualification you need is the ability to be in charge of other people and that can come from anywhere.

You could say being a governor is similar but we've had plenty of presidents who were former governors that absolutely sucked as president.

That experience didn't make them more effective.

What you want is a person that knows how to get things done, has a list of long term goals, and knows how to work with people, not only those who directly work with him but those he must sell his policies to.

As for actual job knowledge the president is surrounded by an army of advisors and experts who walk him through everything so that part isn't required to be effective in the job.

President Trump's qualifications for the job of President are unique......
and in my opinion..... perfect for the task that is ahead of him.

Some of his errors from the past are something of an issue.......
but I believe the Prophet Kim Clement prediction that he will eventually
deeply repent for those errors........
which makes them none of my business.... as a fellow Christian......
who also has lots and lots of flaws as well.

The ability to manage the largest operation in the world. The willingness to appoint and listen to experts. And the ability to compromise to get things done.

Trump in my opinion has none of these qualifications and the results so far bear thst out.

 

You mean a good economy? True turning it around just wasn't part of the Obama/Hillary plan.

 

The economy was turned around during the Obama administrations. So far Trump's only major economic accomplishment has been not to screw up what Obama started. You cannot find one economic trend that has changed since Trump took office.

His other real accomplishment has been to accelerate wealth inequality by passing his major tax cut for the rich.

Nope look at the stock market when Bush left office versus when Trump took office. Or look at employment for the same period. Or look at housing prices for the same period.

He was caving in on a bunch of stuff, especially on immigration but the democrats won't budge.

Trump gave them a lot on the budget bill.
