Anyone unclear about what socialism does to a country and all it entails, merely needs to monitor current events in Venezuela.

What's happening there, is a perfect example of why our founding fathers created the 2nd amendment. It's also why those pushing Socialism/Communism/authoritarian regimes, immediately remove guns from the equation leaving the masses with no means to fight back against a tyrannical government.

And that's the real reason democrats (socialists) are trying hard to remove arms here. It's socialism 101.

BTW, after the govt confiscated firearms, it redistributed them to govt allied gangs.

 

The progressive elites here in the states want us disarmed for the same purpose. The founders were wise, they knew tyranny would return again.

 

Yea the leftists are doing it all wrong in America. They started open bigotry against white middle class males BEFORE they confiscated the guns. If they had any kind of foresight, they would have gotten our guns BEFORE expressing their hatred for us. As it stands now, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that they will ever get our guns voluntarily.

 

I think they lost patience and realized they could just flood the country with impoverished Third Worlders.

 

Feel really sorry for them..all they have are rocks to throw while Maduro's minions shoot or mow them down with vehicles. After long fruitless days of this, they go home and have to stare their children in the eye and explain why daddy couldn't bring them any food. Heartbreaking for sure....especially when aid is being sent that that FAT rotten sociopath pile of dung Maduro refuses them access to. No difference between him and Assad of Syria.

They voted for socialism there. So they got what they wanted.
And no, it's not as if Maduro won with 99% or something. Not even close.
He barely won, and that is thanks to the opposition who boycotted it.
And now they are sobbing their eyes out.

This should be a wake up call to all liberal supporters who are advocating America do the same. The road to socialism/communism/authoritarianism comes in stages. First people allow themselves to be schmoozed by con men and women trying to buy their votes by offering freebie entitlements (democratic party).

The next step is to push socialism and even more freebies. Once accepted, they immediately go after the guns because they know a country's economy can't survive on giveaway programs. Supplies become scarce and people begin to starve and not get the proper medical attention and medicine they need to survive.

At that point it all breaks down. Crime goes through the roof. People can't defend themselves And their families due to having no weapons.

In hard times like this, history tells us in order to feed their families, some have had to offer themselves and their children for prostitution.

They're doing the same thing in the U.S. by making it more and more difficult to purchase or qualify to own a firearm, coupled with very restrict laws on everything from clips to ammo. But do nothing to remove them from the ghettos and the illegal thugs that carry them..
