    No kidding.

    They must be having a bad day.

    The poor kid probably popped an artery just thinking up (and spelling) the ludicrous nicknames he assigned to Northam and Herring.

    Herring doesn't need to resign (under any circumstances), the other 2 can make their own decisions (it all comes down to external pressure from the National Dem Party).

    I'm wallowing in schadenfreude. Tough week?

    And you know that supporting the enforcement of our immigration laws doesn't make you a hateful racist who wants to run over Latino kids in your car?

    We're ALL playing by the Flaming Dumpstercrats' rules now, my friend. Isn't this just wonderful?

    Well, none of them got my vote, and I suspect that if you knew then what you know now none of them would have gotten your vote, either. In fact, it would have been nice if Northam and Herring had informed all of us about the skeletons in their closets a long time ago. For that alone they deserve to be ridden out of Richmond on a rail.

    Whatever makes YOU feel better, Mr. Hillary In A Landslide.

    Setting aside the fact that Punxsutawney Coonman (D-VA) and Rapmaster Shoepolishface (D-VA) have brought disgrace on our fair Commonwealth, it's been a carnival of schadenfreude watching them and their supporters confronted with their own racism and hypocrisy. While they convinced themselves they were "voting against hate" they voted for this:

    [IMG]

    You know what else is fun? We're playing by YOUR rules now.

    Northam = Racist
    Fairfax = Rapist
    Herring = Racist

    The Three Stooges. Them and their supporters are looking real smart and virtuous now.

    [IMG]

    U so smart, Andy.

    Didn't we go over this earlier?

    Our racist attorney general told our racist governor to resign over the same racist antics he was guilty of committing himself.

    [IMG]

    The longer he stays in office the greater his and your hypocrisy becomes.

    Furthermore, your advice that the Blacks in Virginia should just go to the back of the bus and put up with having those two in office representing them only adds insult to injury, so keep feeding your racist party that brilliant advice. Just don't pop an artery!

    As for Lt. Governor Fairfax, he'll just have to contend with being thrown to the wolves in the #BelieveAllWomen/Men Are Guilty Until Proven Innocent/No Due Process/We Don't Need No Facts & Evidence pack of hypocrites. Given their double-standards and phony moral pretenses he should be okay as long as he stops yelling **** that bitch at Dr. Tyson. Women don't appreciate being referred to as dogs, so he might want to stop digging himself down any deeper.

    Well, those are 2 good points...

    1. I imagine that if all 3 had these allegations before primaries, they might not have made it to the general. If they had, I still would have voted for Northam and Herring based on what I know now over Gillespie and whoever. Fairfax would have been a much tougher call if it hadn't been resolved to my satisfaction.

    2. Seriously? You are going to bring up skeletons in the closet while still supporting a candidate who told his attorney to break federal law(s) to help win an election?? Best of luck with that.

    It would be nice if we knew 100% about every candidate running for all offices beforehand, but it ain't ever gonna happen.

    You're off topic.

    Further, if John Edward's payoffs to his mistress didn't violate campaign finance law, why would Trumps? Further, his attorney is the attorney, if your client asks you to do something you can't it's your attorney's job to say to him: "I'm sorry, I can't do that, that would be against the law." Contrary to the expectations of "progressives" we don't have one set of laws for those who tow the "progressive" line and another for the "others that we don't approve of."

    IT’S NOT THAT THEY’RE ABANDONING THEIR PRINCIPLES, IT’S JUST THAT THEIR ONLY REAL PRINCIPLE IS STAYING IN POWER:

    Democrats mute calls for Va. resignations with power at risk.

    Everyone is too focused on the blackface. The real insult is they are standing next to a person in a KKK outfit. I guess the explanation is "I didn't think bedsheets would be offensive to anyone". Yeah! Right!

    In the mid-1980s for crissakes. What is with these idiots?

    Did you hear that Justin Fairfax got hit with a second rape allegation this afternoon? The DPVA dumpster fire just grew larger...

    Fairfax has now been accused of a second rape.

    Sharpton is going to visit him too, right? :fishing:

    This story is very perplexing. On one hand, I don’t think blackface, in and of itself, is racist. I’d have to understand the context.

    For example, my last name starts with a “T”, and I’m often called Mr. T at work. If I arrived to work on blackface to resemble Mr. T on Halloween, that’s not racist.

    On the other hand, if I went in blackface with a toy gun, holding drugs, and asking if anyone wanted to buy some, that would be racist, and I ought to be humiliated for it.

    Of course, in today’s social climate, I wouldn’t go blackface in any context, but I probably wouldn’t have felt that same pressure in 1984.

    Either way, though, I don’t see how Northam can lead at this point with such dwindling support.

    The person listed on the page. Northam apologized for having being in the picture. One of the editors has disputed his claim it was a mistake.

    Thanks for the props. Not sure how you'll take the rest of my post though. See, in and of itself okay, mmmmmmaybe someone made a mistake at the yearbook. Mmmmmaybe there was a conspiracy to get him, although God knows why. But then - there's his nickname. "Coonman". That's an awful big coincidence there - and his explanation of it was kind of lame. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Had he just stopped after his first apology, he would have been fine. That one seemed sincere enough IMHO. And it was the 80's, not the 50's, and yet we know Ted Dansen got a pass for doing blackface a bit after this happened. We know he admits to doing blackface as a wannabe Michael Jackson impersonator. And - let's face it, even his biggest fans have to admit he has no brains if he was actually gonna Moonwalk during his damage control interview if it hadn't been for his wife. Holy Moly, the REAL reason he needs to resign is for having the IQ of a rock.

    It's a huge problem we have, judging people from decades back using today's standards. It's unfair. While I don't think he ought to resign, he - as well as the left - have set up standards for judging others on the right that he has no choice BUT to resign. And let's face it, the commercial Talon referenced isn't doing him any favors ATM.

    I disregard the other nickname in the yearbook for the same reason. We are not always responsible for nicknames given to us by others. As long as the yearbook is the only place it appears, and he's not using it himself. I thought his explanation for that reasonable as well.

    I disagree with your theory about his first apology IF he's not either man in the photo. It's downright stupid if he's not. You can generally apologize for the situation, but you have to make clear from the get go that IT'S NOT YOU. I don't accept an apology if he's one of the 2 in the photo.

    Finally, I differentiate between what I'll call "general blackface", which I consider the photo in the yearbook to be, and applying black makeup to impersonate a specific person, even black. Michael was YUUUGE in 1984 and if Northam could do a decent moonwalk (?? Bummed I didn't get to see it myself), I have no problems with a little makeup to be Michael in a contest. Most everybody I've talked to personally about that agrees with that.

    With all the stuff about Fairfax now (Much MUCH worse stuff), I think Northam survives now... Glad he stuck it out.
