So, apparently Trump is going to go on the theory that, as President, he IS above the law. And, in fact, he always WAS above it. Oh, and so was his family.

• Some of President Trump's lawyers are exploring ways to limit or undercut special counsel Robert S. Mueller III's Russia investigation, building a case against what they allege are his conflicts of interest and discussing the president's authority to grant pardons, according to people familiar with the effort.
• Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and even himself in connection with the probe, according to one of those people.
• A second person said Trump's lawyers have been discussing the president's pardoning powers among themselves.
• Trump's legal team declined to comment on the issue. But one adviser said the president has simply expressed a curiosity in understanding the reach of his pardoning authority, as well as the limits of Mueller's investigation."This is not in the context of, 'I can't wait to pardon myself," a close adviser said.

The investigation into Russia meddling in our elections is not a sham, every single, I repeat, every single head of the agencies have all gone on record saying they did this. This is a fact. This is what "these people" are investigating and the investigation has led to ties to this administration. In case you haven't noticed, apparently there is nothing that will ever destroy him. He can brag about sexually assaulting women, he can show up unprepared for presidential debates, he can commit slander, libel, and continually lie to the American people and the minority will still support him. So sleep well tonight with that knowledge. The educated majority of Americans who believe in democracy will not.

Agreed. If Mueller wants to expand his investigation beyond Russia, he needs to go.

As to presidential pardons, President Obama took full advantage of it. President Trump should do the same...

Not gonna happen. Not unless there's something seriously wrong, and thus far we haven't seen any indication of that being the case.
