If I were a Trump supporter I would make a shirt that said "I am in the basket of deplorables" and wear it as a badge of honor! Counterculture has a history of turning an insult into a badge of honor... 1%, hippie, etc.

Hillary and the Democrats had no economic message except a continuation of the Obama economic policies which produced a pathetic 1% gdp growth rate (adjusted for inflation and population growth). Bill had is right decades before - "It's the economy stupid".

Perhaps I should have said significant lies, like "I'm not going to touch Social Security" or "The unemployment rate is 35%". Hillary was, mirabilis mundi, a POLITICIAN and so, yes, she lies.

I stand by Politico's assessment; Bernie's lies were 29, Hillary's at 30 and the Chief Orange came in at 71. Trump lies a good deal more often than he tells the truth which means that if he says it, it's probably a lie and he and the Alt right therefore have LESS than 0 credibility

You're exaggerating, as are the reports. Trump is guilty of puffery because he is a promoter. We all puff to some extent. No biggie. I actually think Hillary's lying is more venal.

Yes. She did the exact same thing Gore did when he lost--she relied too heavily on targeting data to only focus on turn out in democratic districts as if it were a primary instead of campaigning nationally like it was the general election. I literally saw zero Clinton yard signs and only a few Clinton bumper stickers.

This is why you have 0 credibility. She is honest, and Trump is not.

Wow. So Hillary tells multiple lies under oath, trying to cover-up her mishandling of classified information, and you write that off to just being a politician. You'll really go to those lengths to protect those who acceptably operate within your ideology??

BTW, were you on the warpath about major lies when Obama said if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor? Or that premiums would go down $2500 for the typical family?

If someone makes mistakes and corrects them later with no harm done I don't care. To me a doctor is like a clerk in a store, I don't really care which one waits on me. How much did it go down to, and what do you call an average family

If you personally don't care, that's your choice. But it misses the point of the significance of Obama's $2500 proclamation. It was made knowing it wasn't true, for the pure objective of getting needed support. Jonathan Gruber told us so. That's a major lie, and was perfectly acceptable to the left. I find that hypocrisy hard to comprehend.

I don't recall this "mistake" ever being corrected, and certainly the harm was never rectified. Maybe you can expand on this.

In any case this all started with you incredulously asking for one lie from Hillary. Do you at least at this point understand her political life has been stained by several?

The Democrats suffered a crushing defeat last November by team Trump. In hindsight, Hillary and the party are blaming it on the Russians. That reminds me of myself.

When I was a kid I liked to play little league baseball. Whenever I lost, I would go home and replay the entire game in my parents' backyard play-for-play and when I was finished I knew that I hadn't lost because of the score. I lost because I was CHEATED!!

The only difference between my losing a little league game and the democrats losing this election is that:

    I grew up.

There you go again with the Nazi/Hitler analogies. So tell us, how exactly is the US like Nazi Germany at the moment? I don't see anyone herded off into concentration camps, Rachel Maddow is still out there railing against Trump and she hasn't been arrested yet, no mass sterilizations taking place, no eugenics programs of any sort.

Perhaps I missed something? Or is it that your hyperbole is negating any argument you care to make? I dunno how to tell you this, but going full Godwin isn't really a good way to win any kind of argument.

AFAIK Jonathan Gruber himself was never backed by anyone and saying that Obama knew the $2500 wasn't there wasn't really possible, lots of people besides him thought it was too. You're allowed the occasional mistake without being called a LIAR unless you're a Democrat, it seems.

Hiillary stopped violating whatever protocols she was violating once she was told she was violating them. No real damage was done to national security. She did no more than many other high officials, such as Colin Powell and VP Pence, have done and less damage was consequent than is inadvertently let slip at most State Dinners.

I said she was a politician and politicians lie. According to POLITICO Hillary lied 31% of the time. Sanders lied 29%, and the God-Emperor lies just about 3 times out of every 4 that the opens his mouth, or 71%

But hey, Trump is better, a hackneyed 250 year old Institution set up to satisfy a Plutocracy who based their wealth on an empire of slaves tells us so.

Yeah, you grew up, well grow up now, this was an election, not a ****ing baseball game and this ******* is now saying that the majority of Americans get to kill the minority on the basis of it and they're not even really the majority

    Wow, Aleksander;

I really touched a nerve. Let me explain simply:

    A win is a win
    A loss is a loss
    An excuse is an excuse

    Capisce?

Trump isn't doing any of those things. Yet.

Hitler really hadn't done much of anything by halfway through 1933. He still required the Reichstag Fire, the Enabling Act and the Night of the Long Knives.

Trump is quite clearly laying a groundwork for internment camps for Muslims and once that is done they can be expanded quite easily, Trump is more clearly attacking the media than ANY President I've ever lived through or even read about. You're right that Trump's cabinet meetings aren't Hitleresque, they more closely resemble the "Dear Leader" adulations give to Kim Jong In

Trump has come to power mainly by attacking a vulnerable minority, that much is starkly Hitleresque and you can't deny it.

Godwin's Law states only that "any internet conversation will have one side or the other comparing the other side to Nazis eventually" It rather clearly does not state that the first side making a Nazi comparison loses the argument, nor even mentions the patently absurd idea that you can't ever make Nazi comparisons if they're valid. The only people I see saying that are those who often have an uncomfortable resemblance to Naziism in their ideologies themselves. Godwin's is meant to combat a type of sloppy thinking whereby one uses 'the Nazi's did this or that too " as a valid objection in and of itself. Naziism is an ideology that once governed a country. Any and all governments do something like 75% of the same things in the same way so naturally many comparisons can be made. One of Hitler's greatest innovations was that he built the Autobahns, which Eisenhower noticed and so they later became our Interstates, but that doesn't mean that placing an emphasis upon Infrastructure in governing means you want to kill all the Jews.

ILLEGALLY hacking the DNC files and then publishing them, THAT cheating, or are you going to try and say THAT didn't happen now?

The hack of the DNC files has nothing to do with Trump.
