If a significant majority of the electorate comes away from the impeachment and trial proceedings with the feeling that it wasn't fair and the Republicans rushed through a vote on political grounds, there will be massive GOP losses in November - IMO. Who would they rather have in the WH? Pence or Bernie? Who would they rather have as Senate majority leader? Schumer or McConnell? And, the House? Two more years of Pelosi or McCarthy?
