    I don't like this... these witnesses gave their opening statements in their depositions and are already part of the record... This wastes time that could be better wasted by Republicans...

    Taylor's was VERY long in the deposition... if he reads the whole thing again..

    Kent seems to be giving a modified version.

    Another lie. Schiff stated he does NOT know who the whistleblower is when it's now known knowledge that the whistleblower spoke with Schiff's office before filling complaint.

    I see Kent's opening remark as an opening salvo and a lot of background to set the stage for later testimony. But I agree it is long and it does not really get to the heart of the impeachment inquiry. But it does help to establish the credibility of himself and future witnesses.

    The facts are true. Witnesses are testifying but if you read the article it shows that they have already determined what the witnesses will say and what it means.
