I really despise everything Nancy Pelosi stands for and most of what she does. But she does have a point. She ripped the speech once at the end, not after each introduction of President Trump's special acknowledgments. So in that sense it isn't an honest portrayal. I think we just need to report things as they actually are. Reality is just as damning as editing and/or editorializing it.

The title of this thread should actually be 'We support Donald 'the thug' Trump.

A lot of politics is symbolism, though. And I do think the video is fair symbolism when the Speaker of the House rips up a SOTU address, an act that I don't think has ever happened before. It's like she was saying that everything in it was trash, including the special guests and their stories, plus the pro-America message of the President.

As I know you know, actions have consequences, and she is a very public figure. And when she pulls a stunt like the one she pulled, she's fair game in my opinion.

Agreed. Its the same with most Trump haters -- they say something nasty about him and he responds. They cry and call HIM a bully.

You start it, you deserve what you get. Nancy started it a long time ago. The speech ripping was like a climax. She's done.

And meanwhile in New Hampshire this week:

Meanwhile Bernie won the New Hampshire Democrat rally but he got 50% fewer votes on Tuesday than he did in 2016. President Trump got 24% more votes in 2020 than he got in 2016.
Again people stood in line all day in the freezing rain, some had been there all night, to ensure a seat at another massive packed Trump rally.

Bernie drew an impressive estimated 7000 or so to his rally. I read that about 30 showed up for Uncle Joe's.

Bernie Sanders Frustrated With Having To Ask For Money Instead Of Just Taking It
    February 14th, 2020
    [IMG]
U.S.—The campaign trail is reportedly taking a toll on Bernie Sanders. The main thing that seems to be wearing him out is the extremely foreign concept of having to convince people to voluntarily hand over money.

“This just feels so wrong,” Sanders told staffers. “If you know you really have a good idea how to spend that money, you just take that money from people under threat of imprisonment. Having to convince people to voluntarily hand over money just feels too much like capitalism.”

Initially, to get people to give him money, Sanders would just grab people by the collar and shake them, yelling, “Give me your money!” When this didn’t work, Sanders had to change his tactics to a kinder, more sensitive approach, asking for donations. “The incentive of money made me change my behavior from what I wanted to do to what other people want,” Sanders said. “I feel so dirty!”

Reportedly, to calm down after a long day of having to convince people to voluntarily do things, Sanders likes to relax by playing with some stuffed animals he can control and make all the plans for.

President Trump will be the Grand Marshal at the Daytona 500 NASCAR race on Sunday. He will give the command to "start your engines."

Race is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time, 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. It's going to be telecast on Fox.

That is very interesting. The FAA has issued an airspace restriction, and the U.S. Secret Service advised that there will be a “No Drone Zone” in place during the race. Automobiles will travel very fast, however, repeatedly around the tri-oval course. Many are expected to watch them.

There is a very strong correlation between a state's level of educational attainment and its affinity for Trumpery, most blatant at the polarities.

That in no way disparages or aggrandizes the denizens of any state, but is simply one significant, empirical, demographic indicator.

For a growing number of Americans, a good education is the ticket to a better future. College opens doors to more career opportunities, higher earnings and new social connections, among other benefits. But how much schooling one receives also matters to some extent. Generally, the higher the level of education one completes, the higher their income potential and the lower their chances of unemployment become.

In this study, WalletHub examined the key factors of a well-educated population: educational attainment, school quality and achievement gaps between genders and races. We compared all 50 states across 18 total metrics grouped into two categories. The data set ranges from share of adults aged 25 years and older with at least a high school diploma to average university quality to gender gap in educational attainment.

    1 Massachusetts
    2 Maryland
    3 Colorado
    4 Vermont
    5 Connecticut
    6 Virginia
    7 Washington
    8 New Hampshire
    9 New Jersey
    10 Minnesota
    11 Utah
    12 Illinois
    13 New York
    14 Oregon
    15 Hawaii
    ...
    37 Indiana
    38 Arizona
    39 Texas
    40 Oklahoma
    41 Tennessee
    42 New Mexico
    43 Nevada
    44 South Carolina
    45 Kentucky
    46 Alabama
    47 Arkansas
    48 Louisiana
    49 West Virginia
    50 Mississippi

States designated in red assigned their electoral votes to Trump in 2016.
    States designated in
blue assigned their electoral votes to Clinton.

    It's called a "race".

Race (noun): a contest of speed

Race (verb): to compete in a race

    You're welcome.

    Carpooling would make eminent sense.

The motorists sharing the ride over the identical route during the same timeframe would be economical, reduce noxious emissions and noise pollution, and also be an opportunity for sprightly conversation among individuals with a common interest.
