Weißherbst - a special type of Rosé

Do you know Weißherbst?

A Weißherbst is made from red grapes that are processed as if they were white grapes - as happens with many other Rosés as well.

The special thing about a Weißherbst is that it must be from one and the same red grape variety. (Similar to a single malt whisky.)

And it must be a quality wine.

Maybe it is a special German thing.
