"idiot Palin spawn???" You mean petty name calling just like THAT name calling?????? Yeah, right; don't hold your breath. I don't buy in to the liberal double standard crap.

I think people who vote Dem.....like it when their leaders LIE to them and/or embellish their stories. It sounded so much better to portray herself as a poor young mother struggling to make it....instead of living a very short time in a trailer on her parents' land....and then finding a wealthy lawyer 13-years senior to her (a Sugar Daddy) to pay for her to go to TCU, and then pay for her Harvard education while she left her kids with him to raise. One is to be admired; the other; not so much.

Its always open season on conservative women even if meaningless cheap shots are the only weapons they've got.

Say MICHELLE BACHMANN and watch their lips turn blue. ;)

Good thing, as I was not selling it.

Unfortunately, the hilarious thing is I note that both sides do it, whilst your post calls it a liberal double standard.

No. My comment "liberal double standard" reflects how some Democrats seem to think it's fine and dandy to call Sarah Palin and her daughter who is not even a public figure all kinds of names.....but NOT a Democrat like Wendy Davis. I don't support either one being blasted in such a personal nasty manner on twitter or anywhere else! But I did question why some Democrats who I know for a fact said nasty and vile things about Sarah Palin and her daughter, seemed to get all outraged over the few who went after Davis in the same way? I, for once, can truthfully say that I have never called Wendy Davis a nasty name NOR have I called Sarah Palin or her daughter a nasty name. In fact, I've said that Wendy Davis already had a good story of accomplishment and wondered why we felt the need to embellish it.

Congratulations on the faux comparative morality. Please note that there are plenty on the right that refuse to condemn the dimwitted idiot former governor of Alaska for her blatant and unchecked stupidity, yet will jump on the bandwagon to attack this Davis lady.

Looks like the double standards abound in both parties, eh JP? or are we going to pretend that it does not to perpetuate your floundering argument?

Thanks for backing me up....by admitting you could NOT find where I ever called Wendy Davis a name.
However....you, yet again, called Sarah Palin one. :)

It's not 'baloney' - it's called 'life'. Some kids will defend a negligent parent and in circumstances like this - a possible governorship, sure they will.........

What do former POTUS have to do w/Davis? Nothing. This topic is about a woman who re-wrote her history, trying to make it sound like she was forced to live like 'trailer trash' when the fact is her parents owned a ranch where the trailer was, so there were her parents who helped her.... she had a lot more going for her than many single mothers who really were struggling. Then she met husband #2 who paid for her schooling.

Husband #2 died? Tho't I read that he had said she'd make a good governor. Don't recall hearing anything about husband #21, but then I haven't kept close tabs on this story......

Come on, Bomac, a woman can have her libido, her personal life, but when it comes to her kids......well, that speaks volumes about her and personally, I have a real problem w/ANY woman who supports, particularly partial birth abortion.....viable babies close to being born and she has no problem killing them........

Nope, anyone who is that unconscionable about the totally defenseless has no soul, but that's just my personal opinion...

I admitted that? Odd. Seems I posted a quote of yours where you said some very unflattering things about her.

Let's be accurate here. Your accusation that I could not find anything assumes that I checked. I care about your opinion of Davis. I certainly do not care enough about your opinion to check. I leave the trolling through old posts to the, well, trolls of the forum. Your accusation is nonsense.

I did. Watch this. Palin is an idiot. I just did it again.

You see, I don't pretend that folks in one party do not attack people in another party. I don't pretend that I am above attacking idiots.

You're moving goalposts. I said.....I had never called her names. BTW, that "unflattering" thing, as you call it, that I said about her is called FACT. She did, in fact, marry a wealthy man 13 years her senior who paid for her college education at TCU and also cashed in his 401K to continue her support through Harvard, while he took care of the kids. And as he made the final payment she told him she wanted a divorce and was through with him. It's okay, really.....but not necessarily a Democrat "I don't need no stinking man" kind of a mantra, is it? Thus the change in the story where NONE of this was even mentioned. But Jeff Davis, the former husband who put her through school, has talked.....even though her campaign has asked him not to talk to the press.

    :) :) :)

Which brings us all the way back to......why in the world condemn others for what YOU yourself do?

Congratulations. I never said you did.

For (*)(*)(*)(*)s sake, if you read through the thread, you will see I said quite clearly I do not consider myself above the fray. Other than to try and bust grapes over nonsense that you are inventing, I don't understand what your point is here. At this point, you are trolling. Clearly just trying to provoke off topic comments.

YOU were the one who initially objected to my statement that Dems do it too. Glad to see you've finally come full circle to that admission.
    Now, it's settled.

Am I allowed to point out the inconsistency here? If so, there it is.

That is sexist. When a mother gets custody of her children, the father isn't blamed. Why blame the mother when the father gets custody?

In many cases that father is seen as a deadbeat.. Is deadbeat sexist as well?

You wouldn't in all cases......Some mothers are clearly not the best parent. In this case, from what I can gather, they were both good parents.....but she was very ambitious and was lucky to have a man with money who was willing to take the children, care for them, cash in his 401k to pay for her education and take out loans that HE paid back. She willingly gave him custody. Some say it seems she used him.....as he claimed she was unfaithful while away and as soon as she graduated and on the day that he made the last payment for her college education, she left him. That's the story; admirable or not; you decide. Either way, it definitely doesn't fit the narrative of her story....that she was this poor kid who worked hard and made it on her own.

Your post is utterly and completely incorrect. I did not engage you. You engaged me. You initiated this stream of your incessant trolling. You. You. You. Not I. I was talking to someone else. Read the thread. Right here. You engaged me.

My post was to another poster, and your posted this.

Please do not mischaracterize what I said because you were wrong.

I always have to laugh at this (high-lighted) psychobabble....

The whole country knows Obama, the POTUS claims the U.S. Constitution was written around 9AD, thinks Hawaii is in Asia, claimed we have 58 states, addresses the servicemen as "CORPSEmen", when he was in London in 2010, he signed the Westminster Abbey guest book "May 28, 2008" and the list goes on.....

You head for the hills when he pulls boners like this - don't have a word to say, but quick to jump on the bandwagon to label Palin as a 'dimwitted idiot" and blah, blah, blah......

Oh well.... if it wasn't for the old double standard, you'd be at a loss for words, wouldn't you?

There's a good reason why a judge would not grant custody of a daughter - in this case, 2 - to their own MOTHER.

From Dru Davis, Wendy Davis' daughter: "I feel the need to be crystal clear on the malicious and false charge of abandonment as nothing could be further from the truth. My mom has always shared equally in the care and custody of my sister and me."

    Source: http://www.statesman.com/news/news/...ers-wendy-davis-daughters-defend-their/nc5d7/

As you can see from the quote above, she didn't "leave" her children.

Her daughters have to hear the right calling their mother a slut, whore, and whatever else they dream up. The fake compassion for her daughters is noted.

I think it's terrible when people say publically things like that. That's one thing about Twitter that is so awful; any crazy thought coming off the top of someone's head quickly is often quite stupid. That's why there are so many politicians having to apologize lately for their comments on Twitter. It's designed for stupid one-liners; that's one reason I don't like it, or use it.

And yes, it's terrible when her daughters have to hear such awful comments.....just as it was terrible for Sarah Palin and Michelle Bauchmann's kids to hear the awful and terrible things said about them.

But the only reason this is a story is because Wendy Davis tried to portray herself in a way which was NOT entirely factual. And that goes to the truthfulness of a candidate....and makes it an issue with voters. She didn't need to do that; she already had a good story.

Hmm...., Those words about Wendy David are tame compared to the words people like you used to describe Gov. Palin. At least we didn't need so-called reporters to "bail out of planes" to get to Davis like Progressives did to get at Wasilla, AK, and Sarah Palin. Remember the lies about Trig, his sister and Palin herself? But that was justified, she a Republican. Right? Stop your whining and truly represent the avatar you use.
