We're all DNA, but is Race more DNA, or more Environmental when talking about Racial Evolution?

The world today has many creatures, living organisms both great and small, from the largest of sea creatures to the smallest of microorganisms, to you and me.
Our genetic ancestors lived in and came from gene pools and migrated with our ever changing earth from land bridge to ocean crossing.

Melanin, is our bodies reacting different to the Sun - for example, making for the pigment of our skin the colour it is.
Darker skin hues are found in peoples in warmer environments, as for blonde people with blue eyes were bleached by the sun over generations of early human.

Diet also a factor to take into consideration, since to be blunt 'we are what we eat'.
The food we've managed to hunt, fish and forage, a factor relative to the local habitat and ecosystem will have effected how many calories our brains were fed in order for growth, or how much calcium and proteins I should imagine.

    Isolated populations develop unique features.

Imagine if a broad Asian face with prominent cheek bones
created a "sexual attraction" compared to a more primitive, monkey face.
Chinese anthropologist claim their most modern H. erectus skulls
    demonstrate Asiatic cheek bone flattening.
So some newbies move in with women who are fertile on a monthly schedule
rather than going into heat a few times a year and hybridize.
They selected to keep the cheek bones.

Don't under estimate illogical, not environment driven, sexual selection.
And don't forget the Irish Elk. :)

Yes, but...I tend to think the genes decide how you turn out as far as eye color ...skin color...body type. ..etc. As far as sexual attraction...who knows? Then you have the great number of possibilities that arise from the same set of chromosomes. A person could be here because mama thought a dimple on the chin was sexy. We may be trying to apply logic where logic doesn't appy.

It is most likely that the black skinned humans are a separate offshoot of the human evolutionary tree.

Early humans were more likely white skinned with thick hair or fur.

How did Asians evolve their unique eyelids?

Did you know East Asians do not have Ear Wax!
    More of an ear powder.

One Chinese girl friend asked me about "Ear Wax Removal Drops"
she saw at a pharmacy. Ear Wax? She had no idea.

Disappointed at the poor reception regarding "sexual selection". :( #2 above.

    I'm sorry.
I'm no expert in this field, like I'd say you were, but when you start talking about sexual attraction being a factor, all I can say is, I'm European, 100%, a mixture of European true and true...
But black girls seem to like me.
I mean, white girls have done too Hispanic and Asian, but, black girls say I'm cute, like I've got a face with traits they like (based on your post).
My good friend/ex lover, this week told me I was good looking.
    She's half black half white.

I'm wondering, Race; how much is genetic, how much is environment?

Think of all humans, doesn't matter what race, as being a 'sack of DNA' for lack of a better term.
Are we different races based on evolving in different climates in our earth and different climates alone...
    Or...
Is race based on DNA and DNA alone and no matter where you place something from one gene pool, given time, it still won't evolve the same as another race who evolved there...

Is race nature (DNA) or nurture (Habitat exposure for so many generations)?

I heard about that ear wax thing, yes.

Differences I can explain is; I think a lack of lactose in Asia made them lactose intolerant?
Since the lactose obviously wasn't in their diet, they didn't develope the enzyme to deal with it.

As for things like other physical features an Asian person has when compared to myself (a non Asian); IDK.

Whiteness seems to be more attractive.
Witness all the cultures that value it, especially Asia. India too.
Witness how often Black men seek a blond woman. Not a redhead or brunette.
Black Nationalist would encourage finding beauty in the "sisters" but it never took, did it?

With White being recessive to Darker than White,
sexual selection rather than Vitamin D may have been the major creator of White People.
Vitamin D? As if they were running around Ice Age Europe, naked.
Yes, Vitamin D had a role. But, sexual selection more so.

    Remember the Irish Elk!
Sexual selection created male antlers so cumbersome, the Irish Elk went extinct.

This exact scene from something I saw broadcast as a child has stuck with me.

(This seems to have an American voice over, I saw the British BBC Professor Robert Winston version of this, but the script is the same; before this clip, the show goes 'Early man who left Africa to go to Asia were met with a lot of Bamboo, a form of grass that is a harsh food source but excellent tool source 'or something').

What you say about this thread's question and Asians @Moi621 personally has me thinking back to this show and that clip, and I am so thankful for the internet for YouTube for having it (all be it a North American version), so I can show you.

It talks about giant apes and giant spiders too, but since our atmosphere changed, we don't have giant spiders anymore 'thank God'.

Did races evolve from cavemen who ventured out of Africa when there was less migration?
    What are we evolving into?
Given science involved; How many years roughly would it take Earth to start making European blood go all Native American for people of European descent having generations in the Americas?

If awhite people bred with white people for x amount of years in 'the new world' (To Europeans), will a human change its race based on its people living in a different weather system/environment/climate?

White people who went to Australia, in one generation, were leaner and taller than European white people...
    That's DNA playing with nature.

How long before DNA reclaims blood bred anywhere in one climate?
Will the Australian Outback ever (I'm talking many many, many years here) be able to tell the DNA about the pigment needed to survive out there?

I think I remember this scene or one similar on PBS series about the origins of people.
It got me thinking, "who needs a stone age when you have bamboo?".
Asiatics did not make the single stone arrow/spear head.
They mounted sharp chips in a handle. Like Aztec weapons.

Clovis was an idea, not a people. An idea brought from Europe.

I can't find a link to the PBS program now.
More entertaining than the link above ;)

    I think it's that.
What I linked says 'all credit to the BBC' but it sounds all PBS.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walking_with_Cavemen
However this says it was Discovery Channel and it's affiliates? and BBC who produced it work with PBS 'and you said PBS' so, all I can say is, IDK.
Interesting show that I saw (I think) every episode of and soaked in as a child.

I own this book and highly recommend it to all who show your interest in this valuable topic.

It is used by a university and I have digested the entire book.

I simply do not believe that all humans originated in Africa. Africa is sold as this hot continent where it stays warm that produces blacks. That to turn white or of the Asian groups, one has to be in different climate. This is simply a myth.
