    How so? Be specific.

Godwin's Law seems to apply here - people who run out of interwebz arguments resort to calling people Nazis.

If you had only done yourself a little brain work, you would have known that Nazis are leftists, and that Nazism isn't that much different then outright leftist communism.

Explain why you think so? We all have our reasons, but I don't want to make assumptions.

The US is founded on individualism. Marxism is founded on collectivism and group identity.

Thanks. Let's look a bit closer. Does individualism have it's limits? What sort of things limit it?

Not saying you're wrong, but where does Marx talk about group identity? Isn't MAGA the biggest identity group around?

Marx divided people into classes based on their role in the economy. The largest identity group around, according to the woke, is White people.

Individualism is limited by a common culture and common values. Things that are discarded by diversity.

If you had done yourself au little reading you would know that Fascism is defined as: "a form of far RIGHT authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power. -Wikipedia

    Sounds like tRumpisim to me.

Things have meanings, you can't just redefine them to suit your whims.

I think that is a bit hasty. America was never "Greater" than after War 2 when all Americans were UNITED as U.S.

And do you see those limits as bad or as necessary?

Individualism does have its limits as we see being played out today by the Democrat Party's mandating lockdowns of individually owned businesses, of mandating masks for our school children, and in censoring the free speech of many if not all Republican/Conservative media outlets. There is no such thing as individual rights as long as a collective-government forced-mandated minded administration is at the helm. Even my individual right to bear arms is in serious jeopardy while this Marxist led administration is still in power.

I'm referring to limits we agree are necessary for a society to exist. In a completely individual society, there would be no rules or laws. Yet we agree to those rules and laws--at least to a degree. So, right from the start, the concept of Individualism must have certain limits in order for us to have a peaceful society. In other words, rather than toss the labels of Individualism and Marxism around like polar/binary opposites, we should accept that there are some commonalities.

I wouldn't call myself a Marxist, but then again, that label is not a singularity. Marx's philosophy had some rather Christian nuances to it, and I don't see that as evil. But it seems that for many today, Marxism = communism and they will not tolerate any other definition than that. In short, Marx's philosophies covered a lot of ground, much of which had zero to do with communism.

Yes, economic classes. They've always existed. Nobody needs Marx to know this.

What about MAGA? That's an identity group.

So, today "this administration" is Marxist, yesterday it was Fascist.

In fact, for you and your purpose (tRumpian Autocracy) President Biden's Administration is any nasty label you can stick to it. :disbelief:

No, today's current administration is both Marxist and Fascist.

Fascism: movement that exalts race above the individual (CRT & Marxist leaders of BLM), and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader (current govt under biden), with severe economic and social regimentation (again, govt mandates and lockdowns that are ruining our nation), and forcible suppression of opposition (like all the social media outlets censoring Republicans & Conservatives, including Trump). So now that you get to see how the democrat party is both Marxist and Fascist, I would be glad to enlighten you on just how that party is ever so close to closing in on their agenda to be full blown communists, although you're probably quite aware of that already.

Marx's innovation was to identify the Proles as a revolutionary class which would transform society. Marxists were bitterly disapponted that the working class did not fulfill their historic mission. So they invented cultural marxism which specifies minorities, especially blacks, as the revolutionary class.

Marx's innovation was an economic theory. A failed theory.

I don't know who "they" is, but the only time I hear of Marxism, cultural or not, is from rightwingers. Are they the "they" you're referring to? Looks that way to me.

We're all capitalists. Every last one of us. Screaming Marxism commie socialist fascist pig just makes a person look naive and ignorant.

Minorities want representation. They're starting to get it. Nothing could be more American.
