What Are You Listening to Right Now? #22

Haven't heard this in a long time. '80 or '81? I can't remember. Maybe it was a year or two earlier.

 

Thought I'd finally post a few Springsteen songs. You forgot. I know you did.

 

I remember riding around with my girlfriend listening to this. It was '78, not the year this came out.

 

There was lot's of silent hoping going on.

 

They all end like this. Don't they? Sometimes, you just throw in the towel and drop out of the race.

 

Someone said, love is grand, divorce is ten grand. I think it's more now. This is a beautiful song. Van Morrison has some heartfelt songs. Love is wonderful damnit. I hate it.

 

This is true. Cray cray blblblblb that's my finger moving up and down on my lips. Try it. Just hum a little and make your lips part and pop back together for a moment and part again. Keep your jaw open a little and move your finger quickly after trying it slowly at first. Don't hurt yourself. I'm not responsible for a booger on your knuckle either.

I must admit it's this one I've been rocking out to but that other one I posted; What I've got recorded so far from day 1 sounds better compared to that than compared to this but, at least twice now from the top to the end without fail singing and playing it/feeling alright/fine/feeling the tune... Which is something/for me since I'm new at singing and playing at the same time.
Like this song though/singing it is alright.
I find the brain still learns while it's sleeping, I'd be playing before bed, wake up in the morning, playing it better than the night before. - I'm reminded with this song.

 

Are you using a pick? Almost looks like you aren't. I would think that would hurt. I read somewhere, that playing in the mirror helps, but it is surprising to me since it's all bass ackward. Keep up the good work. I think my neighbors would plot my demise, if I tried that.

 

I actually am using a pick - but this guitar plays at such a way, I'm happily holding the pick like I have a bear claw.

Right now (on all my guitars & in my videos for half a year now) I'm using Dunlop 500 1.50mm

before that though, for many years, I was using (still have a couple) Dunlop 500 1.14mm picks.


These are the only 2 guitars picks I have laying around really; a bunch of these. More so of the 1.50mm ones since I switched.

 

Do you find the thicker ones better than the thinner? I guess I'm wondering why? I would think thinner would be better for strumming, but I'm not a player so I have to ask.
