When my friend was dieing in the hospital, his step mom gave the car away to her grandson, who was spun out on dope. When i repo'd the car, he was living in it, i will post pictures the day i get the car in my hands, looks like it will be this weekend. I follow ls1tech, i think i might go after that bolt on record, only thing holding me back is this is a a pretty solid low mile car to chop up.
Nice to know you already are familiar with the Camaro's. I'm in the same mind with" building" my car as you. As much as I would like to increase the power, I don't want to go down that road to change everything else on the car to match. Mine has 34k miles and only has been rained on a couple of times so I would rather just keep this one nice. All it has is a full exhaust, pp TB, lid, and some suspension pieces. Just a nice day driver for a retiree.
The one that is based on the Avalanche? Don't bother, not enough room for a lot of things in the back, lots of hassle moving the rear seats and partition to make anything fit. You can get just as nice GMC full size four door short bed and its way more utilitarian.
6 speed? I had a 2000 z28 for a short time with the same mods, minus full exhaust, but it did have all the free mods. Anyway, my buddy at AOP in fresno tuned it for me, made 320 to the wheels, ran really hard for being basically stock. I hope to take possession of the car today, do you know who stock48 is on ls1tech? He is a local boy ive known for years, i think i might have him set this car up once he gets back from drag week. He has a 70 nova with a with a truck 6.0, stock bottom end, stock heads, and truck intake, both ported by him, with a turbo, and one of his cams. Anyway, total street car, goes bottom 8s in the 1/4, runs on pump gas e85.
Started with a deep clean on the inside of the new SS, this past weekend I did all the free mods, and cleaned the MAF and TB. Going to do fuel filter and new plugs just because this weekend. Picking up headers, y pipe, gears and a stall in early oct. Things seem to be moving fast for the moment.
2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited in Blaze Red Crystal Pearl. MB AMG CLK55 Rotors & Calipers. Karmann Badging. 21K Miles. Also drive 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited 26K miles and 2005 Ranger FX4 141K Miles
1956 Thunderbird, 1965 Mustang, 1969 Ford F100 truck, 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser, and a 2015 Toyota Tacoma.
I own a 1996 Suzuki Swift GA 1.0L - 3 cylinders Carbureted 5spd manual This is my 3rd year of ownership. Probably not comparable to what you guys drive in the states, but here in Jamaica it gets the job done And I caught the tuner bug, so every now and then I'll be replacing parts with aftermarket.... either adding to the looks, the handling or the performance
The PT Cruiser is my husband's. I rarely drive it. While the Tacoma is mine, it was my husband who talked me into getting it. I wanted a new Ford full size, but we found this and I actually like it. It is my daily driver, since I drive 35 miles one way for work.
Had to look that up to see what it was, nice lines. Here is my RCZ I love it on the twisty roads in Cornwall
That's beautiful. I live on the east coast of Canada where twisty ocean roads are the norm. Nothing like a nice summer drive along the coast!
Agree, I would imagine there is some spectacular coast roads in Canada and I bet not half the traffic there is in Cornwall in the summer. Here is my other toy, photo taken after a cracking ride along the Cornish Coast from Newquay to Bude, best time of year, warm but very few tourists!
I got an '88 Ford F-150 that I bought new and has never given me a lick of trouble, and a 2013 Nissan Altima. Me and the truck just 'fit' and I've kept it clean and pretty. It ain't much to drive.
My Jeep Cherokee is on it's last legs, new radiator and alternator in the past six months. Over 210K on the odometer. I'd like to downsize from the bigger SUV to a smaller AWD / 4WD, unimpressed with Jeep Wranglers, so that leaves Toyota Rav4 or Subaru Forester I'm holding out for the Land Rover Defender supposedly going to be available in the U.S. in 2018.
A 2015 Chevy Cruze and an old Plymouth van. I got the Cruze because it's cheap, economical and modern (lets me play audio from a USB device - booya!)
Currently a 2015 Mazda 6. Love the car, not the most powerful car I even owned but it handles like a slot racer. And it has the slickest shifting 6 speed manual transmission you ever seen. Previously a Honda Civic that I bought new and put 276,000 miles on it before trading it in. Great car and awesome gas mileage. I also had a GMC Sierra 4wd for a while during the Civic ownership years. What a piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) that thing was. And the gas mileage was atrocious.
