Full time student on a loan and a grant / Agency worker as a labourer in construction.

My own company is in research and development and is not currently trading so I wouldn't call it a living, yet.

I'm a commissioning agent. I babysit the construction of large buildings as a 3rd party inspector, and at completion I test and certify that all plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical systems all operate within tolerance of the building specifications and the engineer's basis of design.

As to the topic - I've spent so many years using keyboards of all kinds including cryptographic ones that I've forgotten how to write. I had my electric sliding door serviced the day before yesterday and the engineer took one look at the cheque and my writing was so atrocious he said his accounts department might ask me to write another one using individual characters. I exaggerate, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did!

I've been teaching for well over twenty years now. Elementary district, although I do teach pubertoids. I've taught just about every subject except for Special Ed and PE.

Well, not everyone - I'm certainly not one of them! :frown: Although, if you run into someone on-line that says they're a doctor or lawyer, I wouldn't believe them.

I have some flats and a couple of other properties to let, quite proud that no one has left for over 10 years, not put the rents up either.

I will sometimes repair Wurlitzer's and Pinball machines for people, but that is more of a hobby despite it paying very well.

    I fix Uninterruptible Power Supplies.

In my military days, I fixed instruments and flight controls on F-111s and F-16s.

Why do you have to fix them if they're uninterruptible?

Btw, my mother was uninterruptible too......:(

Interesting. I don't do anything in a structural discipline other than making sure it is insulated and sealed properly. Everything I do is based around energy efficiency. A lot of money is put into building's construction to make it energy efficient, I confirm what the owner is paying for is being installed and is installed correctly, and at completion, if it makes light, heat, cold, or moves air, i will put a meter on it and measure it. Sometimes contractors will try to sneak in substandard components, install them in a substandard way, or sometimes the component doesn't meet its own advertised efficiency.

It has become very sporty over the last many years. General contractors hired to build the building are very competitive in their price. With the price being close among the GC's, the latest strategy is to promise an earlier completion date than your competitors. This gets tough because the promised completion date doesn't change, and any schedule over run in construction squeezes the commissioning window down. Some of these projects have $60-70,000 a day liquidated damage penalties in the contract. I have always pulled it off but it's going to cost them if they want me to produce a miracle.

Oh that's using excel spreadsheet with listed product details, perhaps 3000 or more 7000, url's to images etc and upload onto the site. The upload is easy the pain is usually getting the spreadsheet in a format that will load correctly. for example product variations where you have a t-shirt in 5 different colours and 4 different sizes at different prices with shipping and taxes and perhaps one is on sale. Or if you have downloadable files then the url for those, also categories, subcategories etc. I've had listings that required maps and then had to convert address to longitude, latitude. Making sure phone numbers are correct for mobile click to call, or website address are uniform or won't link to site.

What I do for a Living I already did and therefore it's done.
That is the same reply I would have given the Blessed saint,
Mother Teresa who was fond of asking those she met ... What do you
    Do ?
