What do you think will become of the USA when leftist regain full control?

Discussion in 'Political Opinions & Beliefs' started by BasicHumanUnit2, Sep 9, 2018.

?

What will happen when Leftist regain total control?

  1. They will be pacified and peace and harmony will spread coast to coast

  2. Nothing. it will be about the same as it is now

  3. There will be resentment as their corruption sets in but little violence or chaos

  4. Things will get chaotic and violence will spread. Bad times.

  5. People on the Right will be targeted and abused by the Left

Thomas Jefferson said it, something about them not being able to anticipate what the future would bring...

Who's talking of burning the Constitution? You're being paranoid.

And finally get rid of white supremasism, racism and male chauvinism...That would be real nice!

Some of what you say is accurate, like Lincoln being a liberal and Teddy being a progressive. Some is not. Some is misleading, like it is accurate that the Constitution was written to strengthen the central government, but the framers feared a strong unlimited government as much as they feared democratic mobocracy. The framers knew the central government need to have authority for certain things, then spent most of their time keeping the central government constrained, limited, and in the box.
Your bottom line is still liberals are all the good guys and conservatives are all the bad guys. There is no justification for that and it is not helpful for any understanding.

I don't think so. Jefferson said we would likely have to overthrow the government from time to time -- feed the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots, as it were -- but not rewriting per se.

I can imagine women throwing theirselves at Kennedy. My mom loved him and kept a portrait of him in the hall, right next to her Jesus portrait. I have a clear recollection of coming inside from playing. My mom was ironing, as she often did in the living room. The television was on, my mom was leaning on the ironing board for support, tears streaming down her face. Through her sobs, she held me close, and told me that the president had been shot.

I'm sure there were times, when late at night, when my dad was touching my mom, it was John Kennedy she was thinking of.

Overturning a presidential election and throwing a duly elected president out goes a long way to blowing a big hole in the Constitution, not to mention clipping out the 2nd amendment.

In the small probability that they succeed, we will never again have conservative right in power.

Actually, I do see conservatives as the bad guys. I live in perhaps the most liberal part of the country. Things are wonderful here. It seems to me that conservatives want to take that away from us, drag us down to their level.

The goal of liberals, is that everybody be allowed to freely participate in society, including conservatives. The goal of conservtives seems geared towards striving for a world where only conservatives are allowed to fully participate. It is why national politics tend to lean conservative, even though there are more liberal leaning voters. The liberals begin looking for a compromise. The conservatives begin refusing to compromise. The result is somewhere on the middle, which is right of center, not what most citizens want.

I would think that conservatives would be looking to blue states, for clues on how to improve their own states, economically, as wel as socially, rather than letting the resentment fester.

The migrations we are seeing in the country are from blue states to red states, not the other way around. Conservatives would be very happy if people from California, New York, Illinois, and other places would stay in the states they have ruined with their Mexican immigrants and other policies, instead of moving away to formerly red states like Nevada, Colorado, Florida, Virginia, and elsewhere.

Young voters living at home with their parents don't participate in "prosperity". Socialism sounds good to them because it's just more of what they're used to right now: someone else footing their expenses.

Who can blame them for wanting to continue the lack of responsibility and the free ride?

I love when people bring up the FL shooting as a case where we need "moar background checks".

40 interactions with the law, masses of violent social media, voted most likely to shoot up a school, history of mental illness, request by Scott Peterson to have him involuntarily committed, a school program that intentionally misled the public, at least 2 FBI notifications that he was dangerous........none of them acted on.

Had anyone actually enforced the law he would have never been able to buy a gun in the first place.

But sure, let's not look at the incompetent school program and administrators, the incompetent police department, the FBI's ambivalence and government incompetence in general...

Instead, let's take away more freedom from everyone else, not hold the people responsible accountable, and lets give them even more power.

Brilliant plan. More background checks would have fixed this problem. Let's not pay any attention to the fact that because of the aforementioned incompetence at multiple levels, there was nothing in his background to have prevented the purchase in the first place.

Radicals make up most of the trump power base as well, or do you dismiss the support for him from the radical right wing fascist fringe and "conservatives" who have put aside many of their core principles. You know like fiscal responsibility, family values, and other platform planks that seem to have been thrown on the bonfire.

Oh, you mean those “core conservative principles” that you have always opposed as a far left liberal?

    Thanks for the Alinsky demonstration.

Your rose-colored glasses don't do much for your myopia, I see.

Why is it always the conservatives that need police escorts to speak on college campuses?

I would support that but it's not what I see the "liberals" advocating. Do you support gun rights? Dropping all laws against the use of drugs by adults? Dropping "sin taxes"? Outlawing eminent domain except for direct national security issues, such as building a missile base, not a condominium?

Still do not what to read what is there. They were smart men, if they wanted to say "mankind", they would have written "mankind" don't you think. You are just one of those people who make shitt up because it doesn't say what you want it to say. And the equal rights amendment never passed, because they knew what it would mean, and didn't want it after all.
And it is not a woman's body, it is THEIR body, both. If the woman can kill the fetus, then the woman herself can be killed without any more thought than the fetus. They are both alive and in different developmental stages of the same human race. The government's position is simple, follow the constitution as written, EXACTLY as written, and don't make shitt up.

I would like you to expand on that if you don't mind. I find it odd that you live in a blue state yet feel under threat by...conservatives? Conservative policies? What exactly are you afraid is being taken away from you?

The American people have already experienced 8 years of a Left Kook Administration that for a short 2 year period had total control, and a President whom betrayed his oath, almost succeeded in a globalist plan to ravage the US economy, overrun it with 3rd world criminal immigrants, many of whom were radical ISIS jihadists, and demoralize the US population.

So if the USA ever does have a 4 year period of complete control by leftist kook socialists, there will not be another election after those 4 years, because of a civil war requiring the US military to either defend the Constitutional Republic, or side with Technocrat Socialists backed by the Communist Chinese government to subjugate all other Americans to live in a totalitarian Orwellian state, thus destroying the Republic.

What Armed services decide to do when that ultimate crisis of threat to the very existence of the Republic occurs, will decide it the USA survives and restored to a free nation, or if it falls into 3rd world abyss, and the last generation of patriotic Americans fades away into history.

When was Colorado a red state? Historically Colorado has been a rather mixed state. For most of its history it has had one Democrstic and one Republican Senator. At least since the 1970's the governorship has been dominated by Democrats. Colorado was one of the first states to give women the vote, one of the first to decriminalize marihuana, and one of the first to allow medical marihuana, and among the first to legalize recreational marihuana. Let us not forget that Boulder, and the surrounding area, is perhaps the most liberal spot in America. Gary Hart came from Colorado.

California used to be considerably more conservative than it currently is. Then in the 1980's there began a series of earthquakes that opened up large cracks that swallowed whole buildings. The "focus on the family" crowd was particularly hard hit. Their headquarters, their compound was swallowed up, as if the gates of hell had opened wide and sucked them in.

They found a new home, in Colorado, across I-25 from the Air Force Academy. As they moved their operations to Colorado, as their employees moved in, as the supporting industries also joined them, Colorado took a turn to the right. During this period, the LA Times kept printing things in the op-ed section about how the conservative Christian organizations leaving California was making it more and more liberal. At the same time the Denver Post was printing things in their op-ed section about how the conservative Christian organizations moving into Colorado was making it more and more conservative.

Things mostly came to a head when Bill Owens became governor. His first act was to block funding to Planned Parenthood. Thing though was that the funding that Planned Parenthood got from the state had nothing to do with Planned Parenthood clinics.

Rather, long before ObamaCare came about, Colorado had developed a county level healthcare system. Anyone, regardless of their ability to pay, could receive, at least minimal care. More serious conditions could likewise be treated at the state hospital, Colorado General, which is also a teaching hospital. One of the more popular uses of the county health clinics was the immunization of young children, where the state picked up most of the cost. Another was for the prenatal care for poor women.

Anyhow Planned Parenthood had won the contracts to operate a large number of the county clinics. Once Owens blocked funding to Planned Parenthood, county health clinics all across the state were shut down. The backlash against Owens was when Colorado began to swing back towards the left.

Harry Reid came from Nevada. Along with Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and California, Nevada forms part of the Western Green Block. Colorado is sort of part of it, though it is seperated from the rest.

I'm sure your demoralization came not from what Obama did, but rather from right-wing rhetoric.

Being as blue states tend to have better economies, protections, and freedoms with less crime than red states, your arguments sound a bit funny.

The courts and remaining red states will put a brake on the wanton excesses the secular proghressive humanist left would like to impose upon us.

I don't make things up. Women and people of color are covered with the same protections, under the Constitution, as you and I are. You don't have to like it, but that's the way it is. We're certainly not going back to the days of women being considered the non-voting property of a man, and people of color being counted as 3/5ths of a person, because the founding fathers said man instead of mankind.

As I said before, we see things very differently. I predict you're going to remain frustrated with our government if you expect anyone to accept not to be treated equally under the law because you want the Constitution to be read the way you read it. If you can't expect equal treatment under the law, why obey any of them?

You're welcome to your opinion on what women can do with their bodies, just as women can hold a different opinion, if they like. Opinion isn't law though.

Do you honestly think young people are living at home because they want to? Maybe, just maybe, consider that the economics young people face today are different than the economics faced by their parents at the same age. I mean, there are only daily reports about rent costs outpacing earnings, about wages have been basically stagnant for decades and have not risen with productivity, and that the millennial generation carries unprecedented debt from college loans. But, by all means, rail against that entire generation for being lazy and maybe they will eventually see things your way.

I'm not going to argue gun control with you in this thread. The reason I brought it up is that the voters' wants are ignored, while the donors' wants are legislated. Everyone sees it, but the younger generation is determined to do something about it. We saw the party in charge tell us they were going to repeal and replace our health care system with something better, and then not even have a replacement in mind, much less a plan, after years of that rhetoric. In a country with democratic processes, what the majority wants should become law, as long as it doesn't unconstitutionally violate rights. Gun control isn't the only issue like that Congress ignores. When Congress no longer is responsive to their constituents, then it's up to the constituents to replace that elected representative. That is exactly what you see happening in this election cycle, and what this thread is about.
