Don't tell porkies! You stated that the minimum wage is "a mild implementation of socialism". That isn't credible. It shows zero comprehension of both capitalism (e.g. market failure analysis into monopsony) and socialism (which requires worker ownership and control of the means of production, rather than a marginal reduction in inefficiently low levels of compensation)

it means that there are an abundant number of people with mental issues, self loathing, jealousness, unstable, don't know how to (don't want to) take care of themselves, full of rage & hatred for freedom & liberty, enjoy living under close supervision (as in a prison), fearful of others, can't handle confrontation, dream/fantasize too much...

imo, once virtual reality becomes perfected, we should hook them all up , enmass, and 'give' them their desired world... they wouldnt know they're being warehoused in an uninhabited area of the globe... a win win for everyone ;)

Economics is outdated theory? Wow. I suppose that accounts for why you misdefined socialism when showing no understanding of capitalism. All makes sense now.

That's basically what I was saying. Surplus for future NEED is generated, but a family does not produce profit in the usual sense (over and above what could be needed in the lifetime of the family) since it isn't a business. The focus of the common purse is in maintenance and offsetting future needs. Obviously, the family version of socialism isn't going to look the same as the religious cult, but the common purse element of the family is exactly the same.

We have a problem with this subject in the USA. No European nation or any other nation has it. This problem is that 80 years of cold war propaganda and scare tactics have rendered the subject taboo. No one is free to raise the subject seriously for open discussion without fearing insult, intimidation, stereotyping, sloganeering, attack, and bumpersticker bullshit being thrown at them. Just take 2 minutes and review this thread if you need evidence. The anti-socialist, anti-communist cohort is apparently unable to face an honest discussion of the subject. The taboo is alive and well.

There is no taboo on authentic Socialism, since it's entirely voluntary. Even Libertarians approve.

There is a taboo on the master/slave ideology of the Faux Socialist, however .. and rightly so.

The taboo is on discussion of it. That taboo has been in place for about half a century.

You haven't even started giving a sensible argument. Your mindless transcription of theories denotes your binary vision of things. And your comments merely show your unwarranted arrogance. You're not worth further answers. Have a good day!

No problem, it is your right to have a tantrum rather than engage with the political economy.
