When Christians invoke Satan, what circumstances need to be present?

I think the easiest would be if people are possessed by a demon and an exorcism is called for.

But is all sin works of Satan? Christians talk of free will after all. I don't see Satan at work using a man's lips and tongue to take God's name in vain. But with murder that comes out of pure sadism (as opposed to a crime of passion) you could make the argument if you are religious that that person is Satan incarnate. Some will say sin is just a means of drawing people away from God and towards Satan. But is Satan literally in control of the actions? Or is it just a voice in your head urging you to commit sin?

Some say the whole world is run by Satan. That means everything outside their bubble is a work of Satan. Everything from gambling to other world religions and other Christian denominations.

The next category is things the Bible expresses disapproval of in the form of worship. Idolatry, polytheism, communing with the dead, fortune telling and magic. Also, anything with influences to paganism. That's ironic because there are a lot of pagan influences in Christianity. So with that in mind, the Roman Catholic church and Eastern Orthodoxy are works of Satan because they show reverence to statues of Mary and icons of saints respectively. Hinduism could be seen as a work of Satan because of the polytheism though Hindus will argue their belief is something along the lines of the trinity. If you see Satan in these things, you must be one terrified person!

It's funny how Christians would declare me a tool of Satan if I hypothetically perform a supernatural act like causing furniture to levitate when I did not even call Satan to aid me and Yahweh allowed it to happen.

Then there is heretical Christianity. This category includes people claiming to be Jesus, nontrinitarian Christians and false prophets and teachers (end date setters and prosperity preachers). These people I would conclude are DEFINITELY tools of Satan if you are a believer.

So my question to Christians is; how much of Satan do you see in the world around you?

Satan told me to have a tuna sandwich today and to shovel the snow off of the sidewalk.

Are we atheists tools of Satan? Especially when we convince people not to get baptized or renounce their beliefs.

Technically, yes. Did you really need to ask? I mean one supposes that you have actually studied Christian theology.

I ask because when Christians talk to me, they never tell me that I'm under the influence of Satan. Also, I'm just running down the long list of things that Christians point their finger at and say "Satan"

It's impolite to come right out and say it face to face. One has to go to Christianity dedicated forum systems or simply delve into Catholic theology sites; and it will be plainly stated. Ironically it will also be stated that one needs to forgive those people influenced by Satan. Christianity is a hoot.

Works are satan is code for anything Christians find to be wrong or immoral.

If a christian doesn't like it it's evil.
