Hello, everyone! I want to try new recipes for our family bonding next week and I'd like to hear from you. What have you been cooking lately?
how about Super hot Dogs: https://www.google.com/search?q=sup...5uPbAhUDwYMKHUcnCFgQ_AUICigB&biw=1366&bih=635 just look at the variety - chili, avocado, chopped lettuce, onions, sauerkraut, pizza sauce topped with any kind of cheese, Spanish olives, pickles, etc there is just no end to the type of dressings/toppings that got well with Super Hot Dogs
Not much of anything. My mother was a terrible cook so both my sister and I are actually pretty good cooks but it is not as much fun cooking for just one. One of my mothers meals though was the favorite of both myself and my fathers. She called it slubgub. An extremely simple recipe of hamburger and onions, salt and pepper, and water. She would serve it over mashed potatoes. I do a variation of it by putting in egg noodles instead. I also use beef stock instead of water and add a little garlic. It is still my favorite comfort food besides the usual Thanksgiving dinner. At one time I tried to fancy it up by thickening the liquid but keeping it liquid makes it actually better.
Don't forget cucumber sandwiches--cucumbers are really producing this year! I like generous cucumber slices on cocktail sized dark rye bread spread with mayo; sprinkle the cuke slices with lemon pepper.
