Why would it only be a test for Christians if God loves everyone? What if some people were given homosexuality to test whether or not they could resist temptation? Just a thought.
Exactly! Who knows? But we do know that jesus said to love everyone and that the Old Testement warned of men laying with men. So it's all a bit odd. What it didn't say however, was t hat men who don't lay with men, should hate the men who do.

What makes you think I give a damn about what gay people per se do? I don't, trust me. I don't care at all. Totally unfounded assumption. Nevermind that gay means happy, and let's use the homosexual meaning of it. So do you know what homosexual means? Sexual attraction towards someone of the same sex. homo gr. same, sexual lat. pertaining to sex. Homosexual doesn't mean 'caring about (*)(*)(*)(*)'.
I am not religious usually try to avoid the topic, but I am bored and may learn something. It will be interesting to see who uses the old testament in this instance and avoid everything else it forbids.

I don't know actually. I don't know if the original book in hebrew or whatever language it was written in used the word lie, or dropped the figurative speech and and used 'have sexual intercourse with'. Perhaps the english translations preferred more figurative speech, but I don't know. If the original hebrew also used the word 'lie' I suppose a case can be made that they are free to screw as long as they stand up.

I was more interested in the using the old testament to be against it. I guess there must be far more homosexuals than most sources report. I honestly do not care if it makes them happy and does not hurt me so be it. Yet under your reasoning they should just work it out on their own?
The persecution comes from people who aren't gay, aren't necessarily going to be gay (sometimes..though we've seen the strictist homophobes come out as gay) and those who have nothing better to do than bash gays because their bible tells them it's okay to hate. Again, most of the people against gay marriage fall into one of these three categories. Not a single person can give any reason why gay couples shouldn't be allowed to marry other than rhetoric originating from a book that also says you should be stoned to death for wearing clothes of two different cloths or eating shellfish. i frequently see these people eating lobster and clam chowder while wearing 50/50 cotton/polyester blend shirts.

Most usually say Jesus changed that. It is deeper than just pork. Shrimp, lobster, and crab many more foods that are not as common. Petting a dog or another unclean beast. Using condoms, pulling out, or masturbation. It would be a long list if they follow it all.
