Maybe that is just because I know it's made out of beans though. I'm not sure. I've had Hummus before though and I didn't like it.

In town/London, we have/had (not sure anymore tbh) this annual conference/exhibition in Earl's Court called the Ideal Home Exhibition that I got taken to by my maternal grandmother as a child.
They have things from new cars (First time I ever saw a Smart Car was here in the 1990's), Whirlpools, waterbeds, gadgets, food...
Now the food court had shows featuring celebrity chefs... not televised shows, just shows to watch while you're there shopping at the Ideal Home Exhibition getting free samples galore, and one of them I saw was teaching us how to make brand names at home letting us into trade secrets and with a blender and ingredients put me off Heinz mayo for life.
Too much vegetable oil, way too much vegetable oil, enough vegetable oil to deter me for life!..
We have these big bottles of vegetable oil in the UK that has a mass bigger than a big jar a mayo IDK how, but 1 jar contains 1 and a half of these huge bottles of vegetable oil (or something) (Is that even possible) - I remember what I saw, I remember him pouring in all that oil and I remember him announcing that it all goes into 1 jar of mayo too...

That event was/is way cool, around March for a month.

Those things aren't even the main attractions, every year you get to see/walk through 'the house of tomorrow' and in the 1990's, mid to late 1990's as a child, I was amazed by all the computers displayed in every other room and the Smart Car I saw outside.

For mayo, I like Hellman's mayo the best. I also like Miracle Whip in certain things. I like it on my BLTs and I like it in egg salad too. It gives a little tang that I like. I think it's just like mayonnaise with a little vinegar added to it.

Do you have these in England?

We have Hellman's (thought it was British until now) but no Miracle Whip.

I feel like Stewie Griffin saying that..
    "Miracle Whip"..

I like Miracle Whip, but a lot of people hate it. Maybe it's an acquired taste or something. Just add a tiny bit of vinegar to some mayonnaise and you have something pretty similar to Miracle Whip.

    Easy Butter Chicken

    1 cup butter, divided

    1 onion, minced

    1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste)

    1 teaspoon garam masala

1 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized chunks

    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    Directions
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Melt a few tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic, and cook slowly until the onion caramelizes to a dark brown, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile melt the remaining butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat along with the tomato sauce, heavy cream, salt, cayenne pepper, and garam masala. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low; cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then stir in caramelized onions.
While the sauce is simmering, toss cubed chicken breast with vegetable oil until coated, then season with tandoori masala and spread out onto a baking sheet.
Bake chicken in preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, about 12 minutes. Once done, add the chicken to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve over cooked Basmati rice along with some soft flour tortillas.

Ha! Funny, a poster at another thread I post at sometimes posted a very similar recipe to this (with a few differences) that was also Butter Chicken. I still haven't had an opportunity to try this yet, but I am planning on it

I just finished cleaning up after Chicken tika masala (Patak's from a jar).

It's a very good dish to serve for folks unfamiliar with Indian food.

    Don't forget the Nahn!

Maybe this recipe is the same. I don't know, I would have to check on the other one at the other forum.

I've never even heard of it. There are tons of different kinds of beers out there now. When I was a teenager, all the kids drank was Budweiser.

Yeah, Mirror Pond is made by Deschutes Brewery in Bend, OR. They sell it in the region, but not nationally. I used to drink Coors beer until I developed a taste for IPA's. Anymore, those beers like Bud or Coors don't taste like anything to me.

Personally, I don't like beer or many alcoholic beverages at all. Yuck! I would rather have a soda, a water or an ice coffee. I'm pretty lame. I have a drink or two (maybe 3) on occasion but pretty rarely. Of course, it has to be some "girly" drink. There is a local Chinese restaurant with a bar, and they make these drinks that are called Jolly Ranchers, and they make all flavors, and they taste JUST like a Jolly Rancher candy. Now THOSE are dangerous

I like beef tenderloin. Sliced thin while slightly frozen, lay slices on a plate and drizzle with oil and vinegar and sprinkle with finely chopped green onions. By this time it is no longer frozen, roll them up and eat raw. Yum! Do the same with elk or deer back strap. A dab of wasabi is nice if you like that sort of thing.
