I can't think of one single thing the Obama administration has done well. Virtually everything is in worse shape than when this man took over. He has been an obstacle to everything.

Can anyone point to one thing this administration has done well?

I can't think of one single thing that the Republican controlled House of Representatives has done at all - except try to repeal Obamacare over FORTY times.

You answered a question not asked. Now, tell me what this current administration has done well.

Despite its flaws, the ACA did alleviate some of the problems with our healthcare system.

So the legacy of Hussein is ACA, which is much more disaster than cure. We're still evading the subject of the thread here, and economic growth is back to -3%. I can't think of a single thing to thank him for.
Oh- he did keep the golf course open while veterans were being kicked out of the memorial awhile back.
Come to think of it, he keeps the golf course open while veterans die in the VA fiasco. I guess that's enough.

Can you think of much that Bush got right?

Expectations tend to be rather low for both parties, and it's not surprising considering that they tend to serve the same interests on a lot of things.

I would argue we're at a point where the president or the party doesn't much matter. America seems to mostly suffer from things like endemic corruption and inefficiency.

Like what? I can't think of any.

That's not the question here. Can anyone here point to what the Obama administration is doing well without talking about Bush, or Republicans?

    The eroding of constitutional rights.
    Corporate corruption and greed.
The destroying of American liberty from within in the name of protecting the people.
Turning America into some sort of socialist or fascist tyranny.

Obama did a great job at
    Dividing the nation
Giving birth to the tea party
Winning a Nobel peace prize and attacking Libya
Making parts of the Bush tax cuts permanent.
    What else?

The main issue resolved by the ACA was addressing liability of insurers concerning pre-existing conditions.

Before the ACA, insurers could pretty much deny coverage for anything deemed pre-existing. Now, they basically can't do that.

That's a significant improvement even if it rarely is discussed by the media.

Look it up. That was one of the driving issues behind the ACA.

Obamacare could be seen as being somewhat a step in the right direction, even if in classic US Bureaucratic fashion they botched it when they actually had to put it into effect.

Other than that.....no I can't think of anything Obama does well at all. Obamacare is the only thing, and legislation isn't even technically his job. As far as the responsibilities he alone is responsible for, he does rather poorly.

The only thing anyone can come up with is one obscure benefit of the ACA which no one can take advantage of.

Is there anything going right with this current administration? The answer is an obvious "no".

It's amazing that other than one facet of a disastrous health care law, no one can tell me what is going well with this administration.

I actually thought someone would chime in and tell me everything is going well from economic policy to foreign affairs.

So again I ask, what is this administration doing well? What is not a national, or international embarrassment? I can't think of one thing this administration has done which can be interpreted as a positive for the country.

Let me take that be back. I think the administration keeping their yap shut about the current events in Israel and looking like they are not willing to step in and make that situation worse is a positive step in the right direction.

From 1926 until 2008 when Obama took office, the highest level of the GSXX pay scale had exactly three people.

In the first year of Obama, we cut off the jobs of 20,000 GS9s, but we increased the GS15s to over 1800.

Obama has done a great job of increasing political kickback job slots!

Only at the cost of ruinous rate increases and no real information as to whether or not they even enrolled enough people to cover the costs. Obamacare has done more harm than good...

But is he a better liar than the master, Bill Clinton? Even Clinton's most loyal apologists called him "an unusually good liar".

The rates went down for my parents and a few other people I know.

It depends on your income bracket, your age, and the company you work for as to whether or not it is a net benefit or net loss for you.

Granted, an NHS or even a public option would be superior to the ACA (and to our healthcare system in general).

Here are a few things that come to my mind:
    Stock market is up
    Unemployment is down
Killed many top terrorists including Osama Bin Laden
Propped up the US auto industry
reduce the number of terrorist attacks in US to lowest number in 40 years
negotiated a new START treaty with Russia
Helped get Syria to agree to dismantle chemical weapons
Reduced the deaths of US Troops abroad
Provided more effective body armor and vehicle armor for our troops
Improved FEMA effectiveness in responses to major disasters
reduced the rate of growth of the deficit

Not really. I know plenty of people who work for a living who don't have employer plans but were able to get much better rates from Obamacare than they were getting in the years before.
