I am not a PETA supporter. However, I think some animals have feelings just like humans. A mother fox wants to protect her cubs as much as a human mother wants to protect her kids. That cannot be debated. Personally, I think any animal that stems from the dinosaur age should be rendered extinct. The only reason they are here today was because they were smart enough to seek protection underwater.

There was a rare white wolf in Northern California hunters wanted to get their hands on in the past year I think, It may have come from Yellowstone. Animals like that should not be hunted.

Not only starving to death, but deer cause a lot of car accidents from over-population.

Ever hit an 8-point Buck going 80 MPH?

    Not a pretty sight.

Death for the deer, and a totaled car and possible serious injury (or maybe death) for the driver.

    Hunting has it's purposes.

I'll tell you, if it wasn't for hunting, we wouldn't have survived as a species, according to Darvin, eh Darren, uh Darwind. What's his name. Yeah, that guy.

No but I have hit a hot little doe in the back of my car before.

Speaking of Disney, that was at the drive in. :D

All sorts of creatures protect their young - creatures great and small. Gators protect their young.

Obviously you are a creationist, since evolution holds that every living thing on earth, including us, "stems from the dinosaur age" and every other age before us.

Is this another thing in the megalomaniac handbook that "we don't need"?

Thank you for not hunting. More for hunters to hunt.

Basically, killing animals that you like to eat is ok. You don't need to eat wild-caught fish. There are plenty of farmed fish around. Basically, you are just basing things on your tastes, which is ok. Just don't try to stop the rest of us for doing what we want to do.

Well, last night I had a little bit of cow. Today, no cow, but I did eat the product of enslaved chickens, and will eat some of our finned brethren tonight.

I have no problem paying the assassin, but I also have no problem doing it myself, should I have to.

I don’t subscribe to creationism, not only because we have been here longer than the Bible has existed, but because the evidence of evolution is so overwhelming.

My dad's grandparents had a farm. His favorite Thanksgiving was the one where they ate "Old Tom" the big turkey that used to terrorize him when he visited. They had no problem naming their food. It's all a matter of opinion.

For us, hunting was once key to our survival, but it’s not key to our survival now in modern-day America.

Not really. One of our roles in nature is as a predator. The only way we can get in touch with that side of us is to use it. You don't use it while growing your own vegetables. I also do all of the above--hiking, camping, and growing my own vegetables. Hunting is different than the above, and satisfies a different part of my primeval soul (and the above activities satisfy a different part than hunting) My bet is that most hunters do more of the above than most non-hunters.

None. Murder means the unlawful killing of a human by another human. Blue whales kill a lot of krill, but they murder none of them.

If you hit a deer at 80 mph, it was your time to go. Or at least to be said for your car. But not a excuse to hunt.

Actually PETA is against pets. They don't feel people should enslave animals that way.

If we didn’t have Walmart’s on every corner, I’d say hunt all you want. But hunting is not necessary for us to obtain food. There is no excuse for hunting, especially trophy hunting.

I don't deny that at all. I also think it is something we should not be discouraging.

What a gross, myopic view of the world you have. But then, this isn't any different than the thought that enforced royal hunting reserves in feudal times... What sickens me is the smug that allows folks to grandly stand on their own myopic view of the world.

In your lifetime have you ever worn leather shoes, had leather seats in a car, carried a wallet made of leather? Had a lady friend who owned a fur? Did you ever ride a horse? Own a pet?

Alligators rarely kill anybody in Florida despite the fact that they exist (at least some of the time) in the majority of fresh water bodies of water in the state. Unless humans are stupid enough to feed them, alligators don't look at adult humans as food (toddlers, maybe). Sharks rarely kill anybody world wide. Neither are major problems unless they are being fed by humans. Snakes are even less dangerous than alligators and sharks. Unless you step on one or are messing with one (Earl, hold my beer), you aren't going to get bitten by one.
