Nope, he died because people had been feeding the gators there for years, which makes gators overcome their natural fear of humans to the point that they associate humans with food.

Besides in Alaska, it's illegal to hunt wolves in the U.S. I do agree on that point. I googled the above--it was in Yellowstone, and is illegal.

There is no excuse needed for hunting. It's a lawful and ethical thing to do. Beats golf, that's for sure. Golf is an environmental catastrophe.

A lot of Indians and poor folk would starve without hunting and trapping.

It's a boon for chemical producers and oncologists.

But so what. If you love the game play it. Something has got to take you out no matter what you do.

That's ridiculous. I have a cousin who lives on a huge tract of land passed to him by his grandfather. He fishes, hunts and grows food. He buys very little from a store and he has very little money to do so after paying his taxes and upkeep. For him, hunting is survival because he has chosen a life of caring for the land left for him instead of working 9-5. He works to earn enough for his most basic needs, but he has need of little because he has no electricity. He can't keep store bought food cold enough to last for long enough to eat it all and trips in his truck to the store get expensive. It's shameful that you would look down on others because they don't have the money to live life as you do. For him there's every excuse for hunting. We're omnivores and we're meant to eat meat. Otherwise we have to supplement Vitamin B12 for survival.

I was being tongue in cheek...

I grew up in Africa, where hunting is used to fund conservation

In a real and funny sense, what we have here is what Alvin Toffler called in his book, The Third Wave, a clash of first wave and third wave cultures. This book was a sequel to his prophetic book Future Shock.

We have one culture, a remnant of a first wave culture - the agricultural revolution - that lives off the land as our ancient ancestors did. On the other hand we have a third wave culture - a product of the information age - in conflict with the first wave culture. Conflicts like this were a minor theme of the book.

Toffler was generally referring to advanced nations clashing with developing nations, but this is another twist on the same basic conflict.

    Yes there is.
    Quality of the meat.
I don't want to eat that **** meat from cradle to grave animals caged. Sick and sleeping in their own wastes.
Wild meat is from animals that are healthy and eat healthy diets.

I sort of feel like it's an issue with arrogance. In a country with many liberties, some cultures will inevitable clash. As long as those in the newest wave understand that all are free to pursue their happiness, then we will make it alright. Of course, this farmer must sustain the wildlife and he won't be taking more than he needs. If he kills all of them like we tried to do with the bison, he will go hungry. That was the intention of killing bison to weaken the strong tribes of the plains. Sad, but they thought differently then.

I think I would have loved to live with them and been proud to be a part of their culture in one of the eastern woodland tribes.

I support everything in your post as a decision that works well for you. But people, such as yourself, that have too much free time on their hands tend to concern themselves with other peoples business. If you don’t like meat, don’t eat it. If you don’t like pictures or videos of people posing with their game, don’t google it.

This is just sad, but until there are some restrictions and real inspections and punishments, nothing will change. The biggest issue is many of us won't be able to afford to eat.

I think it's an issue of a dozen or dozens of children and other innocent victims getting blown away in a minute or two, time and time again - not to mention regular gun violence.

This is why the right wing has no credibility. You climb over the elephant in the room and then ask, "What elephant?"

I would not eat anything out of the Pacific. I stopped eating fish. I don't think it is safe any more, until it's proven.

LOL. No, it's called hunting because before there were supermarkets, that's what many people did to get food.

I see. Someone in the Midwest trying to feed themselves should have his guns taken away. Okay. I disagree, but I can see the heart stopping fear I all of you. Figuring out how to accommodate so many different cultures(diversity) in a country this big can be nearly impossible. Everyone will never be happy. In your opinion, it's best to force everyone to sit in a corner until they are needed for something.

Might not be key to survival, but it's key to quality meat.
And it's far more humane to hunt and kill properly, than having the animals caged and sickly, cradle to grave.

Walmarts. Never buy any meat from the lowest cost producer of meat.
Unless you want to obtain some diseases yourself. Heart disease, cancer, etc.

Name a single Disney movie in which at least 1 person didn't die horrifically.

Clearly you got drunk and emotional when you posted this hilarious OP.

Hunting is food. Food is substance for the body.

If you're so against it, there are hilarious hippie groups that go and protest hunters. Then they get arrested.

You need to reread the OP. He's saying that hunting is next to murder and that it's morally wrong. I offered a suggestion on a group he could join to share interests.

Your quick jump to run to his defense is amusing.
