What could possibly be wrong with having sex? If you're a believer, and your god made us, why would he give us the greatest pleasurable thing a human can feel only to tell us "don't do it"?

I'm going to be graphic here, which may make some people uncomfortable, but on a woman's body there's a tiny part called the clitoris. It has absolutely no other function than to allow us to feel pleasure. If you believe god made us, why would he give us that otherwise useless body part? We are prudes.

And yes, there most certainly is a huge double standard here. You claim that men are also slut-shamed, but that's horse pucky. Men in Judeo-Christian societies have never been held to the "virgins until married" standard or experienced even a teensy fraction of the shame heaped on "unpure" women.

In other words you don't agree with that interpretation of the Bible because it is not what you want to believe.

A text taken out of context is nothing but a pretext. Period.

It's unethical to judge other people, period. Unless their behavior violates your civil rights, what others do is not your business. Labeling women sluts or any of the other slurs society likes to use is sexist, judgmental, and hateful. That's what makes it unethical, that arrogant assumption that you are qualified to judge another person.

What can't you have that body part stimulated after you are married?

So your position is that no one has a right to make moral judgements about others? So you don't judge pedophiles or rapists? After all that might be the only way they can obtain sexual pleasure?

It's not taken out of context at all. You're talking about slut-shaming women, what do you call that if it's not a judgement you're making about another person?

We could 'drunk shame' people who drink. The point is, people have a choice to do or act as they want, within reason of the law. The other thing is: Women are too sexually repressed as it is. Why are we slut shaming behavior in the first place? That just puts the onus on us, to be the ones who make the approach, compounding this problem is that women are naturally afraid of men.(Which leads to the difficulty in actually securing a date.)

Maybe, just maybe in not judging slutty behavior we can have a better dating experience for everyone involved.

Of course, I'm all about furthering my agenda. Surely that can't be surprising.

Except that "furthering your agenda" means that you take a dump on other people's rights.

You don't get to do that here, in AMERICA.

I think there is a certain looseness in the presumptive definition. I think that women with an ample libido are not necessarily thought of as sluts. For instance, no one would refer to Marilyn Monroe as a slut. If a woman chose to become an “escort”, I would not view her as a slut.

I would say a slut is a person who lacks self confidence such that she feels she has no better option than reliance on a vacuous sexuality.

Women accept this insult as perhaps the most condescendingly contemptuous disparagement in that it implies a woman has correctly assessed her own lack of self worth.

To some extent, women regard “sluts” as ethical criminals who debase the fundamental value structure of the male-female relationship.... stealing their naive silly man by offering him fools gold.

Me thinks they likely protesteth too much... like the well trod path of gays who publicly decry homosexuality.... or priests who wind up abusing children.
I think that if you have a commitment to someone... you should honor that commitment. If you have no commitments, and if you take care of healt( considerations... promiscuity seems not all that different than the common practice of masturbation

About the same redeeming value as masturbation... which religious zealots also criticize... with similar self righteous pretense

It seems fairly human to me. I think it is extremely self destructive to deny our human nature.

would you be less religious if Joseph was the real father of Jesus, or if there was evidence that Jesus slept with Mary Magdalene? If we simply read about what Jesus said.... Imo he said much less about sexual behaviors... and much more about feeding the poor and not worshipping wealth or political power.

imo... the vast majority of moralists do in fact worship wealth and political power.... and a surprisingly large number of them are not all that scrupulous about their sexual morality
. You mean like Donald Trump? What ever else Trump may be, he certainly does not have a history of sexual asceticism.

what ever Clinton did does not change nor exculpate Trump from your judgements. I will believe your protestations about sexual morality when you rigorously apply those values without exception for those whose shortcomings you find it expedient to ignore

Why must you wait until you're married to feel sexual pleasure? It's unnatural, IMO.
