The Queen of England's crown = wrong! This would mean England has a crown which the queen rules over. Correct way is; Queen's of England crown. Here it is the queen who possesses a crown and not England. At least this is how it works in my native tongue and people seem to never get it right. Not too sure if the same rule applies to English though. But, I would think it does.
My wifes pet peeve is "you guyses" it drives her nuts! I encourage my friends to use it in front of her.
Another one of my wifes peeves. To me "I seen" is informative, It informs a little of the speakers ignorance, ....no harm done.
Had a friend that would use the word "did" in a peculiar fashion. He would say, " I wish I had did that." I never said anything to him about that.
The biggest problem I have is with people who don't punctuate correctly. I tend to vocalize everything that's written internally, and it screws up my reading cadence if something isn't punctuated correctly. I can generally tolerate everything else because I understand what's being said in context.
