    You're very ignorant how these DNA tests work. While it's true that maternal (mitochondrial) and paternal (y-chromosome) DNA exists, these cheap commercial DNA tests don't specifically look for that.

    I think more than anything else those results help demonstrate these tests are a scam.

    Or at least there's a great degree of precision lacking in them.

I'm very well versed in DNA and the testing I've gone through...you on the other hand have no clue...you're one who believes there are "races" and stared a thread on that phony belief, a social construct that does not exist in biology or genetics, so your displayed knowledge of genetics is somewhere around zero...you're a classic example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect...

    It's an interesting fact, I would say. The results indicate that we are by and large a white male bunch on this forum. Funny that it should draw our demographic so predominantly.

    Considering my grand father on the male side was a member of the SS, pretty white here. His first wife (my grandmother) was also in the Jungmädelbund.

    My mother’s side was Yugoslavian(my grandmother) and Chech (grandfather).

    It only shows that 75% of those who responded are white. Who chose not to respond? Who lied, if anyone? You have no way to know. You can't take a simple poll like this and expect to get scientific results. Designing accurate surveys is a science.

    It may be an accurate result but you have no way to know. For example, maybe non-whites don't tend to participate in the general discussion forum.

    It was found in the last election that trumpers often lied about their choice ahead of time. They didn't want to admit to survey takers that they supported trump. And some were probably trying to sabotage the surveys.

    According to AncestryDNA 45% Western Europe, the rest a combo of UK/Ireland... oh, and 1% Greece. In other words, if I take my shirt off in the sun, you'd better have some sunglasses.
