What should be subsidized besides health care?

The problem with analogy is that no society can offer private health care.
Health care is no different then interstate roads, it is a system where government funds are required.

 

You have Medicare the insurance that I am currently paying for.
I do not have Medicare because you are against it, for no valid reason.

It's completely obvious that the answer is no. But I've been told that mods are trying to stop the onslaught of strawman arguments on this forum. And you are a walking talking strawman factory. My policy has been not to do reporting. However, I'm thinking of changing that. Just all of your posts would have to be deleted if I did. Hmmmm.... I mean, the streets aren’t going to plow themselves when it snows. If my house catches fire it’s not going to put itself out. If I get in a serious car accident I’m not going to be able to extricate myself and administer first aid to myself. My wife and I preferred our kids to have an education so it’s nice there were schools available where we live. You can claim all you like that you don’t think we should pay for these things but you’d be full of sh!t. You know it. I know it. We all know it.

Health care premiums should not be subsidized by the Federal Government. It should be up to each State to offer insurance plans for low income individuals and families. Forming "group plans" with low deductibles and premiums and several choices that include pregnancy and newborn care and preventative care and a plan that does not cover these benefits many don't need. These plans will include so many insureds that the cost to insurance companies actuarial will go down.
