Just finished Bioshock Infinite. Wow. Lots of fun, excellent story.

Anyone playing or planning to play this, be sure to pay close attention to EVERYTHING. It all has importance - from the casual conversations by the NPCs, the posters on the walls, and even the seemingly random music playing from the phonographs - nothing is actually random, but it won't be clear why until later.

The game make the important plot points fairly obvious (not in a bad way) so you don't miss them, but there are so many nuances to the story that you may overlook if you dismiss things that "seem" insignificant, as found in most games. Luckily, a friend of mine gave me this same advice before I started playing, and I'm glad I followed it.

I finally put my G5 tower back to OS X Leopard instead of Debian Linux. Had to pull those SATAIII and USB 3 cards out, but oh well! I was missing my game library.

Spent a little last night on Unreal Tournament (original and 2004), both playing and downloading goodies to add on to them, like models, maps and voice packs. Good times, good times..

I'm playing on Wipeout 2097, released in 1996, for the Playstation 2. It's a racing game set in the year 2097 and you control a flying craft and you race along several tracks of varying difficulties at high speed against other craft. It's great fun. The Wipeout series of games, made by Liverpool-based Psygnosis (which became defunct in August 2012), was one of the most popular series of British video games of the Nineties.

I'm also playing on FIFA 99, a football game released on the Playstation 2 in 1998.

You can play in various top-flight leagues, such as the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Serie A and the SPL and various domestic and international tournament, such as the World Cup. You can choose what famous stadium to play each match in and what weather you want, such as hot and sunny or chucking it down with rain.

You can even create your own custom tournament. You can decisde how many teams you want to compete in the tournament; whether it starts off in a group stage or is a straight knockout; decide whether the knockout stages are one-off matches or over two legs; decide how many games to play in each group; decide how many teams are in each group; and decide whether it's the top one, top two, top three etc from each group which qualifies for the next round.

In each competition you can be one team, two or more teams or no teams and watch the computer play all the matches.

The tournament I have created has 32 teams divided into four groups of eight teams. Each of the teams plays each of the other teams four times and the top two from each group advance to the quarter finals. The quarter finals and semi-finals are over two legs with the final just a one-off match.

I've been addicted to Fallout: New Vegas lately. I've sunk about 30 hours into it in the past month.

Heads up, Metro Last Light is probably the best FPS I have ever played. It reminded me of HL2 in a way with its amazing atmosphere and characters. So if you were into HL2 you will probably like Metro Last light. Do not judge this games based on Metro 2033 as that game sucked.

Is this your first time playing it?

If so, I envy you, because I've explored about 90% of the wasteland. Even though it's still fun and I'm discovering new quests, the game loses some of it's appeal once you've been everywhere.

3rd play through, but first time with all the add-on content. One of my favorite games... can't wait to see the Fallout franchise on the Next Gen consoles.

I still haven't played any of the add-ons for New Vegas or Fallout 3.

I'm still on my first playthrough, and I can't decide whether to follow Mr.House, the NCR, or Yes Man. The Legion are a bunch of bastards, so it was easy to single them out, but deciding between the other three isn't as easy.

You know, I absoultely loved Fallout 3 but I just could not get into New Vegas for some reason. It just seemed so boring.

I have no idea what happened to my copy of the second Metro(probably lost in some moving box)but that game had a life and presence of its own. I enjoyed it and would love to finish it but as I said, I have no idea where it is. I don't want to play the next one until I beat this one.

I am currently playing Hitman Absolution and Dragon's Dogma. While Dragon's Dogma does have its flaws I happen to find it very enjoyable. Although frustratingly difficult in some parts. That does remind me that I need to go back and play Dark Souls 2 again.

So far I have followed the NCR twice and Yes Man. This time I may follow Mr. House. This play through I am ignoring the Legion... wiped out the base camp early on. Taking over Vegas in the Yes Man mission is probably the most fun thread to follow, but no mater what path you take, you are going to pizz some faction off.

Dragons Dogma was surprisingly good. I agree it was tough early on... but a challenging tough and not a OMG banging my head against a wall in frustration tough.

Spot on. It has a great character creation menu as well. One of the best in my opinion. It would have been nice though if you could have actually played with your friends online though. I would have loved to have roam across the land with my friend and take on the various monsters. Especially since I like playing as a warrior and he likes playing as an archer. We would have complimented each other well.

Also personal edit: I meant to say Dark Souls, not Dark Souls 2. That's not out yet.

How does Dark Souls compare to Dragons Dogma in terms of being tough? I have not played Dark Souls as many of the reviews say it is punishingly hard and devolves into dieing over and over till you figure out tactics and patterns.

I was actually pretty reluctant to play it at first because of how I kept hearing about the game's difficulty. And it his hard but not in unfair way. Unless you're in a boss fight, then those guys can take you down easily. Mainly it's about grinding and paying attention when you fight because when you're hit you will take quite a bit a damage but as long as you watch what you're doing you can easily take out the same to lower level enemies. If you travel somewhere you're not ready for yet you will die but it is fun.

Also if you play the game make sure you don't accidentally attack the shop keeper. Yeeeaaah.....if he dies then you're left without a store in that area. That doesn't really make things easier.

I used to prefer Fallout 3 because it felt more like a desolate wasteland compared to New Vegas, which feels like a Western.

I've since reversed my views simply because New Vegas feels more alive and has a sense of civilization. Plus the choice of factions as opposed to the black and white storyline of 3.

My main thing against New Vegas is the way it seems to punish you for exploring. They placed higher level enemies on the map to keep you following a certain path. That took away from the freedom and exploration of the third one. It just made the game feel linear to me not to mention I found the scenery to be boring and repetitive. Their was no imagination to it. Admittedly 3 didn't have much of a variation to it but their was enough to make the world feel alive.
