Iran never conquered Iraq. After 8 years of stalemate fighting, the war ended by a UN Resolution on a status quo ante bellum.

Translation, the war ended with a stalemate, and the borders were restored to their position in 1980. In short, nobody won that war.

And it took quite a bit more then a few days for the US to take over Iraq. Combat operations started on 19 March 2003, and the end of combat operations was not declaired until 1 May 2003. However, the last major combat operation had ended 2 weeks earlier, with the fall of Tikrit on 15 April 2003.

So to most, the war actually lasted about a month and a half.

No nation has ever been forced to submission by a Naval and air campaign.
