For me, the best result for all would be the election of a moderate Republican (Ron Desantis would be the obvious choice), the anti-Trumpers would be silenced and matters could get back to normal. If Trump or Biden were elected again the vicious circle would continue and I just don't see a moderate DNC candidate getting nominated.
I find it telling that you consider no other options. I'd suggest the best result for America would be some rational independent legislator (not celebrity) who could bang some partisan heads together and actually do what's right for your country rather than for their (part of) a political party. It's obviously highly unlikely to happen by 2024 of course, but it'd still be the best result by a long shot. It can never happen unless you start thinking of it as even an available option.
It's a nice idea but I can't see it happening. DeSantis on the GOP side embodies all those qualities which I think would work, I don't see anyone on the DNC side i can say the same of? Any suggestions?

An independent or third-party candidate wins the presidency, the Republicans the senate and the Democrats the house. Either we go back to working together, cooperation, compromise, playing the old game of give and take or government is brought to a screeching halt, nothing, zero, nada gets down. Which may be exactly what we need for 4 years. Perhaps the above would give us a chance to exit our modern political era we’re in today, that of polarization, the great divide, the super, mega, ultra-high partisanship. That of political revenge and payback. We need reminding we’re all Americans first, then Republicans, Democrats, independents further down the line of importance. Today’s Republicans and Democrats forget they’re Americans and are loyal to only their political party and its ilk.

I don't think it matters much at this point. The Global Elite have started the clock on the endgame - so collapsing the present system is just a matter of time and timing. I suspect they're going to escalate global tensions with more war and terrorism - so shortages and rationing will be forced upon us soon enough. If Trump wins - they will gleefully pull the plug and lay the blame squarely on him. If they lift a Dem into the Oval Office, they'll still collapse the system, but the rhetoric will be different. The Banking Elite, WEF are running the show.

Not too sure “things would go back to normal” if De Santis wins - don’t forget he has all the disadvantages of Trump with the added advantage of more intelligence and cunning. Biden is definitely getting too old and should not run on that point alone. At this point Liz Cheney could run and give the others a good fright because she is popular with the independents
