Pretty straight forward.
I like rum or Caribbean beer (meaning Corona, Kalik (Bahamas), old Landshark (when it was bottled in Jacksonville), Red Stripe (Jamaica).
It totally depends on mood & setting.
Pizza, burger, dog? Need a very cold tap beer. I like a variety of types of beer.
Fish/seafood? White wine
Italian food or a pretty steak? Red wine
With a good chocolate dessert? Brandy
Plus - my mixologist husband is always coming home with some new fun bottle of something he found. Raspberry & chocolate "martini" with a touch of macadamia nut liquor? Yummmmm. Add Tuaca to make it taste more like a pie. He's probably got 60 bottles of different flavored liquors in our bar.
Oh, BTW, we like to drink.
Yes, you did forget - Scotch.
Isn't scotch just a type of whiskey- made in scotland according to certain parameters? I thought it was a subcategory of whiskey...
They really are different. Is it like American football versus football? One name means two things, depending on your geography?
This says the main differences are geography and ingredients. Well, I'd argue that the ingredients being different is a pretty big difference. As in: It's mac-n-cheese except it's made with linguine and clam sauce.
"Whiskey" is kind of ambiguous. It covers a broad range of very different products. Kind of like the word "meat".
I love red wine, especially Italian Brunello, Barola, Chianti, Sangeivese. However I also love Bourbon and Sour Mash American Whiskey and Irish Whiskey. Thank god for boozein these times.
beer, which means german only... all other's are pure piss water that requires refrigeration, yukkk!
Single malt Scottish Whiskey
I love my red dry wine....a little too much. Used to depend on it every evening to help me relax but now its relegated to only special occasions.
IPA's, mostly from the Deschutes Brewery, Bend, OR.
You had the choice of no alcohol, but didn't have the choice of any and all alcohol.
as i've always mentioned, all polls are biased in some way or another...
I'm kinda partial to amber ales and lagers, including reds.
When it comes to booze I'd have to say spiced rum is my favorite.
If I drink I like cheap white wine like Moscato or Riesling.
No scotch /brandy / whiskey are all different (well to me it is)
Love white wine my body hates red
I don't drink much, but if I do it's a glass of red with a bowl of cherries
When I did indulge, it was vodka. It blended so nicely with many things, and especially lime....
My days of that are long since over, but it's nice to think about occasionally.
I'm not much of a wine drinker but I like Riesling, too. Beaujolais is probably my favorite red.
I do like a Muscadine wine even a red Muscadine. But most red wine is nasty to me. I really hate it when it tastes like someone threw oak sawdust in the bottle.
I had a huge bad experience with red wine one time at a wedding, drinking bud lights and red wine dont mix...
Man, is Scotch different. Most people either love it or hate it.
I'm not into peated malt myself - it's definitely an acquired taste.
The visual on that was not pleasant....
